Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

Wait, where was this stated? Hilarious if true.
Here you go, king. The TousiTV clip at the top of the post.

The IDF has repeatedly said Iran only has a few hundred ballistic missiles remaining out of an original stockpile of about 2,500, but IDF sources have now acknowledged that the exact number is uncertain.️ In an exchange with The Jerusalem Post, the IDF initially stood by its assessment that only several hundred missiles remain but then acknowledged that the exact number is uncertain and not definitively known.

Iran says 4 of its air defense personnel were killed during clashes with U.S. helicopters near Isfahan. ️The incident occurred amid ongoing operations linked to the search for a downed American pilot. How many Americans died in the rescue? That's right, zero.

Trump told Israel's Channel 12 that the US was close to an agreement, but accused the Iranians of trying to stall for time. "A few days ago they agreed to meet, but they asked to postpone for five days. I asked: Why five days? They're just dragging us out. And then I decided to attack the bridge."

He said that at the beginning of the operation to rescue the second crew member of the F-15E, suspicions arose that the navigator had been captured after he transmitted a short message over the radio: "God is good." "At first, we received a strange short message over the radio from the navigator. We thought that maybe the Iranians had caught him and that it was a hoax," he said, but it was later confirmed that it was an authentic message. "People who know him said that he was a very religious person."

No no guys, it's clearly an american helicopter pilot's corpse.

He just randomly decided to crawl inside an iranian car frame before exploding inside, is all.
The actual positions are incredibly clear in this war when the potential large loss for one side is a single solider, and the other has had all of its leadership killed multiple times over. What are the actual win conditions for each side right now? American defeat from the hyper-pessimist perspective does not involve an actual American loss, it is an American withdrawal without a complete and utter domination of Iran. America "losing" involves a withdrawal, a chaotic Hormuz and global oil shortage, which has a negative impact economically on our allies and a weakened global position. Under this condition, Iran continues to exist as a chaotic shitshow without any leadership, infrastructure, or means to recover. If they even try they will almost certainly get bombed again by the Israelis or pissed of Gulf Arabs. Thus, Iranian "victory" is to barely exist as a glorified pirate group terroriing the Straight of Hormuz and jacking up global oil prices. They lost weeks ago and the only question is how much they can fuck everyone else over in the process.

Trumps challenge right now is actually getting the remaining sandniggers to pull back. His challenge is to return stability, which isn't exactly easy. I think he's struggling to deal with them because they are fundamentally irrational and shortsighted. He's continuously extended the timeframe for negotiations because he doesn't want to destroy civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, every time he extends these threats the less weight they have. We have no idea what kind've negotiations are playing in the background, but I have a feeling he is going to have to create even greater chaos in the region to defang whatever remnants are currently fighting back.

>worst possible "defeat" for america is just a return to the status quo ante
>best possible "victory" for iran is barely managing to avoid state collapse, limping on with half their leadership dead and their military in shambles

iran is winning btw
brics world order btw

The pilot rescue has been a massive optics win.

Even reddit is starting to nooooootice a lot of things that would have been unthinkable 6 years ago.
https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/1sctgp9/us_forces_rescue_second_crew_member_from_f15/

The top updooted comment is of course a "hate trump love troops" thing, but immediately after that they're failing to control the narrative.

They aren't going TMD or anything but several things stand out
-Acknowledging that the USA goes to great lengths to save our own while the turd world treats their own like battle droids. Massive for optics, everyone know the "good guys" do this in the movies, that's especially impactful for zoomers raised on capeshit.
-Acknowledging that they're being brigaded and botted by the irgc. We're not at a point where reddit has more self awareness than half of 4chan.
-That comment in the top left from prnthrwaway55 is especially noteworthy. He's technically agreeing that orange man bad, but that people who want us dead use that very anger to undermine us. If he's not careful a few more years of nooooticing and he'll be posting here.
-General acknowledgement of how incompetent the irgc was during this.

Yes it's autistic of me to read into it this much but this kind of stuff matters, unfortunately. It was threads like this in 2014 that served as a general overton window shifter into clown world. People see this, they feel the preference cascade, they nootice. This garbage is basically the modern equivalent of graffiti paintings on the walls of Rome.

Former commander of CENTCOM Frank McKenzie tells Face the Nation he'd be creaming his pants if he were still in command and he had the current situation after 30 days of fighting with Iran

I love how America probably cares more about our soldiers than any other country on the face of the planet. Also, I find it funny that these people claim we don't care about our soldiers and that these are the people, sons and daughters, when we clearly just spent probably the equivalent of like $250,000,000 getting literally one guy back.

UAE is joining in on the fun.

Deputy of Communications for the Iranian President, Mehdi Tabatabaei:
Out of sheer desperation and rage, Trump has resorted to profanity and raving; this bastard fool, in his madness, has sparked an all-out war in the region and still keeps chanting his boasts.

The Strait of Hormuz will reopen only when, under a new legal regime, the damages from the imposed war are fully compensated from a portion of the transit toll revenues.

Iran's IRGC Navy Command:
The Strait of Hormuz will never return to its former state, especially for America and Israel.

The IRGC Navy is completing operational preparations for the Iranian authorities' official plan for the new Persian Gulf order.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei:
Our armed forces have made it clear that in case Iran's infrastructure is attacked, we would react in kind.

We would target any similar infrastructure that is owned or in any way or manner related to the United States or contributes to their acts of aggression against Iran.

This is not voluntary or a willful decision; it is self-defense against their illegal act.

This is not the American people’s war. This is a war of choice by the United States administrations, perhaps on behalf of a genocidal regime in our region.

Visual confirmation of a fire coming from the U.S. Victoria base in Baghdad, Iraq. There's no one there, you're wasting your drones.

All schools and universities are closed until further notice.
Before anyone thinks this is about trying to keep its population safe, most Iranian demonstrations start at schools and universities because it hard for the regime to ID and stop a demonstration before it gets started. So you close schools and universities so you can just arrest anyone you find there.

The regime is afraid revolution might start.

I am going to make a thread prediction based on Regime actions, Trump's rhetoric (a bad idea), and the the fact we're getting to the end of 4-6 weeks:
At that time or shortly after, the Shah will call for people to rise up. If that doesn't happen, turdworlders are free to mock me until the power outages shut down their internet connections.

That is not what my Polymarket bets reflect however, to be clear. Its a tuesday. My polymarket bets say nothing ever happens followed by just what Trump is promising.

This is even better because now Iranian commanders must be sweating at the reality that yes, America can just build temporary runways in their own desert and fly off.

Imagine basing your entire strategy around "they can't do that" and now suddenly you learn that they can just do that.
More importantly:
If the US can build a base to get their WSO away from hostile fire, the odds of IRGC commanders getting a maduro-style yeeting are now proven completely realistic. you won't die a martyr, you will live being subjected to court proceedings. Allah doesn't give virgins for rotting in prison.

Tbh that was also the Eagle Claw playbook and that failed miserably, so I almost don't blame people for discounting it out of hand. Though Eagle Claw had way more moving parts and the makeshift desert airfield deep in Iranian territory was only the first step out of many increasingly complex and dangerous ones that in hindsight were impossible to pull off with late 70s American capabilities.
Right. Lots different between this and Eagle Claw, but Eagle Claw was not unique that's a common US recovery plan.

At this point, I'm kinda hoping we don't get a deal. These fuckers don't deserve one. And Europe especially doesn't deserve one.
I'm really torn because if Iran actually makes a deal and sticks to it:
Straight of Homoz opened, no more funding Hezbollocks, gets fuel from 3rd parties, no more Ballistic Missiles, that's the best solution for everyone outside of Iran and short-term for most of the people inside.

The strategy of killing all the IRGC shitheads isn’t going to work, because Iran is shitheads all the way down.
Solid disagree. We just have to keep killing them until they run out of people or they elect a reasonable one. We're making more JDAMs.

The quote completely fucks up what Trump actually said. Trump said they tried to funnel weapons to the public using the Kurds, but the Kurds just kept the guns and left the public to die.
I can see why we didn't bother using them as proxy fighters this go around.
TY, I did not parse that out from the first read.

This type of joke is probably overused but still very true
Overused or not overused enough?

I think the successful rescue on Easter in combination with the can of whoopass Trump's finna open has him feeling a certain kind of way.
Not saying he's gonna do this, but I know if I were about to nuke a bunch of genocidal camel jockies, I'd be posting some crazy shit, too, because what the hell is anyone gonna do about it?

The coping and seething reaches new heights. "This wasn't about rescuing the WSO, this was a trial run of a land invasion and it FAILED!" Dude, we set up a FOB less than 30 miles from your second largest city and rescued the WSO without losing a single serviceman while you lost probably dozens of people. They really can't comprehend that we value our soldiers, Marines, and airmen.

Holy shit, every single statement is more desperate and unintimidating than the last.
This is optimistic as hell, but it's starting to feel more and more like they know Trump has run out of patience and will completely crush them.

WTF, he got your name wrong. I hope you sue him.
Funnily enough there's a non-zero chance MedMan is aware of me. He posted a screenshot of a post I made in the 12 Day War thread last year. He runs the only good Middle East news Telegram channel and would be a top tier poster here. Whoever posts here that can contact him tell him to join and post with us.

Baghdad Bob has some strong competition for the title of "Most Hilarious Propagandist". Only fitting they're all Iranian.

Look I don’t like Israel and how much influence they command over our government, but I hate smug euros even more. Showing them how weak and pathetic they are and the seething as a result brings a smile to my face
I'm sorry but the EU is completely capable of functioning as a political entity and definetly 100% not a permamently stagnant, bearuocratic mess teetering at the edge of collapse like the imperium of man minus the space marines and without the forever wars.
