US Lifts Sanctions on Venezuela's Acting President
The U.S. on Wednesday removed sanctions against Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodriguez, according to the Treasury Department website, less than three months after U.S. forces seized the country's then-President Nicolas Maduro in a raid on the ‌capital.
The Trump administration has closely engaged with the interim government led by former Vice President and Maduro ally Rodriguez, sending U.S. energy and interior secretaries on visits to Caracas with potential investors, making an agreement for the U.S. to sell Venezuelan oil, praising changes to the oil and mining sectors that are meant to attract foreign capital and issuing sanctions waivers.
Washington in March formally recognized Rodriguez as Venezuela's leader, opening the door for her government to reopen embassies and consulates in the U.S. and regain control of Venezuela-owned companies abroad.
Rodriguez hailed the decision, saying in a post on X that it was "a step in the direction of normalizing and strengthening relations between our countries."
"We trust that this progress will allow for the lifting of the sanctions currently in place on our country, enabling the building and guaranteeing of an effective bilateral cooperation agenda for the benefit of our peoples," she said.

The U.S. has lifted sanctions against acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez, who has been praised by President Donald Trump as a willing negotiating partner since he ordered the capture of her predecessor.

Rodriguez was removed from the Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals list, according to a notice posted Wednesday, which generally bans American companies and individuals from doing business with her.

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly called the decision is a sign of “progress” between the U.S. and Venezuela.

“As President Trump has said, Delcy Rodriguez is doing a great job and is working with the United States very well,” Kelly said in a statement. “This decision reflects progress in the joint efforts between our two countries to promote stability, support economic recovery, and advance political reconciliation in Venezuela.”

Trump has repeatedly praised Rodriguez since she took control of the country, suggesting the setup in Venezuela could mirror a structure he would like to establish in Iran.

Rodriguez took over as the country’s interim leader following the U.S.’ capture of Nicolas Maduro in January.

Rodriguez, who served as Maduro’s deputy, had been on the list since 2018, when Trump’s first administration included her in its broader sanctions against the Venezuelan government.

Since Maduro’s ousting, Rodriguez has tried to rebrand herself as a more diplomatic negotiator for Washington, and she has worked with the Trump administration to reopen her country’s energy infrastructure.

I'll see if I can wrangle up a summation but I think I saw some things about him trying to get with the racist af hispanic republican chat group, and I think Sabatini was trying to get himself involved too
Deep state cancelled our racist groyper native-american candidate with jewish last name (:_(

I have a pet conspiracy theory that they try to prop him up as groyper candidate, so when he ends up with 5-10% of the vote share in the polls (and in the primary inevitably), they can point it out.

it was still the funniest shit when H1-Byron was shittalking him with "you're not even racist"
like, the political process has gotten so clownworld the attack is "you're NOT racist"

It will also mean that the right in its entirety will completely and irrecoverably collapse as all reason to fight for America goes up in smoke.

You genuinely underestimate how blackpilled the right is at the moment. It's only going to get worse as the administration continues to waste time and resources on the Iran forever war instead of addressing the collapsing economy.
Fatpacks, I need you to say I will never become a millionaire rock star with a Hwheatfields waifu, 9 kids, and a harem of slant eyed hottie concubines - stat.

LOL! After Trump's speech last night Israel blew up Vance's negotiating partner. Our greatest ally isn't subtle are they?

You know that feeling when you're so mad you just start smiling and shaking your head while looking at the ground? Like, it's not even a vicious smile - you're just so angry that you've somehow come out the other side? I don't have a name for that emotion, the emotion that comes after it, or the three further higher levels of emotions after that one, but that highest one is pretty much how I feel about that very specific country with a saliva-covered wall whenever it's mentioned in the news.

because a lot of them (NOT ALL) are just drug addicts and they act like weed is this magical no addiction drug even though they have to do it multiple times a day every day. i saw someone refer to it as "goynip" once and it's a pretty good term for it imo. there is credence to the better than alcohol argument but there are different types of THC delivery that sort of tarnish that whole point, namely those zoomer cart pens that niggers hit every 15 minutes so they're high constantly.
Yeah, I think culture is overdue for a re-examination of how weed actually affects people.

It’s pretty much the bottom of the low end for potential harm on a per-dose basis, but like you said, many people who regularly smoke have zero concept of moderation and act like it’s totally acceptable to be stoned from the moment you get up in the morning, being high at work, etc.

The big thing is the impact on people’s mental health, and part of the problem is it can take years for serious issues to become apparent. In my experience, people can be lazy when they’re actively stoned as shit, but generally speaking it makes people paranoid and anxious. I used to smoke, but quit because it felt like it was making it way more difficult to manage my emotions and cope with real-life problems; (and I want to be very specific here) even when sober.

I’ve always found it ludicrous when people say that THC helps them with any kind of mental-emotional issue. Saying that “Smoking Marijuana helps with my anxiety and depression” is as retarded as saying “Drinking Beer helps with my weight loss”. Unfortunately, much of the issue is just a product of general cultural and political polarization. With weed specifically, from years of anti-drug sensationalism where smoking a joint was either portrayed like a taking a heroic dose of acid, or a moderate dose of opiates.

On a more strictly political side-note, as much as I generally don’t care if drugs are decriminalized/legalized, I guarantee a huge chunk of liberal hysteria is a product of people not being able to handle how psychedelics impact their sense of empathy. Specifically when it comes to immigration/open borders type bullshit (and on a smaller scale, dumb things like performative vegetarianism/veganism). It would be fucked to be stuck in some third-world hellhole, just as the concept of an industrial scale slaughterhouse is pretty fucking grim no matter which way you slice it. But, people have to be vetted and integrated for a society to function, and humans eat meat and there’s hundreds of millions of us per country.

There is such a thing as having too much empathy; just because someone once fed and befriended a wolf thousands of years ago, does not mean we can invite every animal in the jungle to come live with us.

Betrayal is the word you're looking for.
