Nick Shirley “Would you guys vote for Gavin Newsom in 2028?”

California resident “I’d vote for him because he got me released, coming home from a life sentence — He signed off saying I’m fit for society”

“What were you locked up for?

“Murder, carjacking and robbery”

Do people still trust these ‘I ask random strangers on the street things then crazy thing happens’ videos? Because those were notably faked all the way back in 2016.

Like it doesn’t even have to be Nick Shirley involved in faking it. Random person making up bullshit when confronted with camera just is a thing now.

And this is exactly why I have a soft spot for it, anytime you mention it, people get irrationally triggered. Though, I initially thought it was limited to the tumblr feminist types.
Yup. Eye for an eye and all that. Rape somebody? Let's see how you like forcible insertions, pal. The triggers are just a bonus.

Well I admire your positivity but I don't share it. This country will forever capitulate to the groids.
The groids have already lost, what are you on about? Obama was their highwater mark. Most Americans are sick and tired of "muh slavery", "muh jim crow", "muh segregation." We've had 60+ years of handouts, and giving a leg up to blacks in America. The ones who were capable of making something of themselves did, see Clarence Thomas for example. Successful lawyer, supreme court justice, married a white woman, vacations with her in a giant ass RV. We can all see the ones who can do when given a chance, and the ones who can't do. Democrats already pivoted to supporting illegals, refugees and visa holders as the future of their base. The writing is on the wall. Nobody gives a shit about the guy who lives a few houses down and is black. We give a shit about the glock switch having animal that wants to start shit every five minutes in a crowded public space. They lost. Now its a question of if the White founding stock of America will deport all the johnny come latelies lookin for handouts or not.

Ok we'll see. Believe me I want me to be wrong more than anyone else wants me to be wrong but I don't think I'm wrong.
I 100% hope to God I'm wrong about this but I don't think I am.

Amtrak blows and isn't very extensive (or up to date) outside the NE corridor resulting in extremely slow travel times.
Amtrak needs to be broken up into at least two different companies. One for the Northeast and one for everywhere else. Ideally it would be broken up even more on a regional basis. Almost all of the money (read: Federal funding) goes (after the corruption tax) to the north east corridor between Washington DC and Boston. Every other region gets a slap on the ass and a stick of gum if they are lucky. We had a hiring freeze three years ago despite being comically understaffed because Amtrak blew a shit ton of money on two bridges on the NE corridor. This was recently after Joe Biden's infrastructure funding Amtrak received to the tune of sixty gorrilian dollars. If the fuck cars redditors knew how much of a shit show Amtrak's long distance trains were they would be crying tears of blood constantly. The state of long distance rail in this country is shameful for being the wealthiest country on the planet.

Source: I am a conductor for Amtrak.

Edit: I could rant about this shit for days. There are so many stupid decisions made at Amtrak I could write a book.

It could just be fake nonsense but at the same time the possibility of Shirley running into people who can say things like that is higher then zero percent.

just seems to beggar belief they are the majority of all major citys and in almost every smaller citys downtown yet they say there is less than 15% of them by volume

I know illegal immigrants cause alot of our problems but im still not convinced we are talking about some root issues

Blacks make up the majority of urban centers because of the great migration back in the 50s? Or 60s? between 1910-70. They left the deep south in droves to find work in factories concentrated in places like Detroit for example. Of course, as was always going to happen, you can't dump large groups of different people in an area and not get push back and resentment from natives. Whites left to get away from the niggers, and the jobs that made places like Detroit a place to live got shipped over to China or Mexico. The rest is history.

Edit to Add: The introduction of welfare policies also played a massive role in the breakdown of things, not to mention what jobs being left either requiring a degree, or being overrun with illegals.

Senators are way too shielded from the consequences of their own actions, or rather inaction. Having six years between elections means it takes multiple presidencies to attrit the shitheads, and that's assuming you're able to defeat them in the primaries.
House members are basically sacrificial lambs who take the heat for Senators refusing to do their damn jobs.
That's why Senators were originally designed to be elected by the state legislators and could be recalled.

People might be finally starting to get sick of it but this is after a continuous wave of pro-black and increasingly anti-white societal programming that's gone on since at least the 90s (and really before that but there was a lot of mainstream pushback that finally fell away then) and done incredible damage to our country. I'm not quite as pessimistic about it but it's going to take time and effort to reverse especially while 'anti-racism' is still the de facto secular religion of America.

Things tend to overcorrect though.

I beat them on the thread, but other one got first reply so go there.

Watching press briefing right now, some highlights

-Cabinet meeting scheduled for tomorrow
-Beijing summit rescheduled for May 14/15
-Xi coming to DC later this year
-Claims Iran is looking for an off-ramp

That's why Senators were originally designed to be elected by the state legislators and could be recalled.
While there are reasons to dislike the 17th Amendment, before it was implemented the Constitution did and still does not provide a mechanism for recalling federal officials. No member of the United States Congress (Senate or House of Representatives) has ever been recalled.

They can be expelled but that requires a two-thirds vote from the House of Representatives or Senate respectively.

poor white peopel and black people have a surprising amount in common. except white people don't have a habit of playing the knockout game, stabbing women to death on the train, doing drive by shootings, destroying everything nice around them

little things like that

Black lives only matter when you're holding the big, bad institutions that redlined them, that facilitated white flight, that made them all reliant on gubmintgibs accountable. They most certainly don't matter when:

* Black criminals initiate a high speed chase when black cops are trying to arrest them for shoplifting
* Black criminals continuously steal from and bankrupt low-margin black-owned businesses despite saying "buy black" on social media
* Black men beat the shit out of black women, within a black neighbourhood, where a black cop is the one breaking up the domestic violence.
* Black women deliberately prevent the black fathers of their black children from ever having contact, even if the nigga wants to own up.

Among countless other examples I can think of. Our institutions, at this point, are so fucking buck-broken by the Civil Rights Act and decades of intervening litigation and precedents, that black people genuinely do have structural advantages that white niggas, Latino niggas, even Asian niggas (chink and jeet) legitimately can't claim access to. Yet I can tell ya this much: all them structural advantages won through all that civil rights lawsuits, congressional acts, and presidential mandates don't mean jack if I'm a black man tryna go to work, and I gotta deal with loud ass black teenagers who deliberately skip bus fare and force the driver to pull over and kick all them out. Bonus points? Half the damn bus drivers are black too!

The state of long distance rail in this country is shameful for being the wealthiest country on the planet.
Long distance rail simply cannot compete with planes anymore which is why Amtrak only does well in the NE corridor and a few areas in the midwest centered around Chicago. If they actually want to get good ridership in areas like the southeastern US then they should focus on making commuter rail systems akin to the tri-rail. Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Houston, Nashville, Memphis, and Jacksonville have really well placed freight rail right of ways with room for dual tracking so it'd be incredibly cheap to do and would allow for decent speeds between 60-80 mph to be reached. Do a little bit of land acquisition and you could quad track some areas for the sake of future intercity services like Brightline.
