NYT: Why can't Drumpf stop lying???

In Washington, Mr. Trump repeated his impatience with Mr. Xi. In a post on Twitter on Wednesday, the president said China’s trade with North Korea had grown by almost 40 percent in the first quarter. “So much for China working with us — but we had to give it a try,” he said.

It was not clear where Mr. Trump got his 40 percent figure. A South Korean trade group said on Monday that China had imported much more iron in the last few months than previously. But the group also said that the North was a long way from making up the lost revenues from China shutting down its North Korean coal imports.

China’s trade with the North grew 37.4 percent during the first three months of the year, compared with the same period in 2016, Chinese trade data released in April showed. China said the trade grew even as it stopped buying North Korean coal.

Fucking DRUMPF acts like 37.4% is 'Almost 40%' FUCKING IMPEACH HIM NOW

No wonder they want to impeach him, when was the last time we had a President that could do basic math?

This impeachment shit is getting tiring. Bill Clinton LIED UNDER OATH, which is not only a felony, but a disgrace to his former profession as an attorney. Liberals were like "Meh, you don't impeach someone over that." Now they're calling for Trump's impeachment over a fucking typo or hashtag. It's like we're literally incapable of imagining we'll ever be on the other side of the argument.

If they had to submit to basic math, they'd have to acknowledge that you can't take in $1.00 in revenues, spend $1.75, and still have some left over to give to their friends in the U.N.

Why, that would be against Progress (tm).

It's so cute how people get upset that the president doesn't cooperate with the press the way Obama did. Bitch, the relationship between the press and the government is SUPPOSED to be adversarial. It's their job to tell us what the government would rather we not know, that's why the press is protected from government interference. Now that the press is actually in a mood to do its job again (since the top guy has an "R" next to his name) it seems they've forgotten how, so they're jerking off over twitter.

The biggest hack fraud reporter from the 70s would run circles around today's media.

I'd go further and say social media in general since it's basically ruined political discourse as a whole.

Social media definitely made political discourse harder for normal people but I don't think it had a negative impact on journalism in the same way twitter has. As a journalist it's harder to go on facebook, be given a story, research it a bit and then publish it without any outside research if only because facebook is very obviously a personalised bubble where you select who you interact with.

Because journalists can interact with pretty much anyone on twitter they can convince themselves that they're seeing an accurate representation of diversity of opinion, take a couple of screengrabs and call it a day. There's a load more reasons I can think of to justify my point but I don't fancy typing out a massive essay so I'll leave it for now.

Social Media may be a bastard but it's a necessary evil at this point since the mainstream media is losing its power vacuum.
I agree that there's no getting rid of it and I don't begrudge people for using it at all. I just really fucking hate twitter for anything other than shitposting and garbage memes.

I'm completely convinced that twitter is a major contributor towards the state of modern journalism. If twitter didn't exist the whole world would be much, much better.

There was that old pic floating around

I still don't understand after this long, how people can hate or despise Trump. I never liked Hillary, never wanted her to be President, but I didn't want her dead, or have photos of her severed head posted by celebrities, or fantasize about her assassination. The amount of perverse glee people seem to get out of hating Trump, makes me step back and go whoa, people are fucking nuts.

crossposting because holy shit the dishonesty

It's hard to accurately describe just how fucking crooked the MSM is. Basically this meme is going around and their reporters likning to it and sharing it on twitter

Some CNN reporters are losing their shit about it

Holy shit, what a snub, right? The rest of the media are getting into it and saying 'LOOK AT THAT SNUB'

If you look at the full context

It's clear that the two First Ladies had been looking at each others and she just didn't see that Trump had finished shaking hands so she shook hands with the First Lady, shook hand with Trump, and resumed their conversation

So they are manufacturing this out of thin air, then losing their shit about it. Shameless
