Iirc Monty and Ross were actual friends, not like the pandering a lot of other animators do. I think in Ross' post about Montys death, Monty was pushing RT hard to pay for Ross to come to the USA and work at RT. They ran into some of the same immigration issues that happened with Gavin so it obviously never happened.

I'm surprised to still learn he was working on that. I swear he's been working on it before Smiling Friends was even a thought in Zach and Michael's heads and that show has had multiple successful seasons at this point. It's interesting seeing how all the former Newgrounds animators paths have ended up.

As much as I feel bad for him, Geoff did most of the damage to himself. Re watching AH over the years you see by mid 2013, early 2014, Geoff's incompetence ( probably due to drinking ) shows up more and more. Whether it's barely trying to be involved with videos, to failing to go hiking with your daughter, lord knows it would get worse. The first worms revolution Geoff admits he drank Whiskey ( At like 10 in the morning ), throughout the Ultra Mini golf 2 series he was mostly hammered the first 3 episodes with Michael says " Kids you can drink but don't Geoff Drink" BMX Badass is probably the best example of Geoff giving no fucks about content, create a map with zero testing and spend the whole video "filming" because you're too lazy or drunk to participate.

Looking back it feels more like a group of friends that have disconnected from a person but they are still around.

The allergy talk came from an old post a scorned ex employee shared wherein he said that the procedure Monty went to the hospital for initially was a treatment to boost his immunity to a cat allergy, but his body reacted so poorly that he went into anaphylactic shock and died.

This is partially supported by Burnie's statement of the bad news in which he said Monty went in for a super routine procedure and in a freak accident it killed him. Combine that with the known knowledge that Monty was hyper allergic to cats and his cosplay whore wife brought a cat home, and the post has enough weight to be plausible.

However, since nobody ever officially stated what the procedure was, he could have died in a freak prostate exam.
