There's like 20 "general strike/shutdown" websites all with different days and the idea that "striking" for a day will do anything.

I saw Giant Bomb and some other gaming site are doing an anti-ICE stream on the 30th to raise money for charities so I like that RT is like "we're actually on strike, sorry".

you'd think gavin of all people with how much trouble he had getting a green card would be pro ICE, ICE is not going after immigrants they are going after ILLEGAL immigrants, those that didn't feel like going through all the shit gavin did to get into the US.
A psycho breaking into his house and coming within inches of murdering him and Meg didn't even make him pro-gun, man. Brits are just subservient people.

Idk about y’all, but my shit refuses to load more than seven seconds on this clip on faggot Null’s shitty website
cant get past 2 and i'm on fuckin ethernet what the hell did i do to my pc

also,
stupid ass question but i keep hearing people they feel sorry for geoff in a way that made me think something in particular happened

did his liver quit? did he die? did someone else die? or are we on about the divorce

Serious question: Would anyone, including their fans, have even noticed had they not said anything? One day is not long enough to make an impact on anyone, needs to be at least two weeks if not a month.
It's not for a political effect. It's for them. They see actual crazies (stupidly) putting their lives on the line and feel like they have to get in on the action, so this NEET-founded movement is perfect for them. I don't even think they realize it's for them, which is funny or horrifying, I'm not sure which.

No, I get that, but I'm making the stupid choice to approach it from the angle of it being an actual protest and not an exercise in masturbation.

I think the answer is the symptom of that. This requires no sacrifice whatsoever, and will damage nothing whatsoever. Their best hope is scaring random normies into thinking it's some kind of consensus, but given that oversleeping on Friday could make you miss most of the protest, even that's in question.

This requires no sacrifice whatsoever
And that's the big thing that should be brought up to make fun of them. Come on big man, if you really care so much go silent for a month. Take that pay cut and let the algorithm rape you, or do you just hate beaners and bulb headed niggers that much?

this whole "1 day without content" is some of the laziest slacktivism out there, on par with changing their twitter profile to a black square to stand with BLM, at least that shit lasted more then a day

how long before we get An honest discussion part 2 boogaloo complete with crying Geoff and “if you don’t like us don’t watch us”
These days it'd be more like "You didn't like us and didn't watch us, and then I lost my job and it's all your fault!"

If they'd just fired Trevor after Game Kids fell apart, things wouldn't have gotten so bad at AH. Sure, they still would have been forced to do some diversity hires, but at least we wouldn't have Fiona or Ky.

Or the Clippy PFP to protest whatever that stupid shit is about.

(Not sure how much this means) I saw someone supporting them say something along the lines of “at least we aren’t as pissed about this as the people on patreon”. Which is fair enough imo. You payed for a chill podcast. Not a fucking political talk show

Comes from Louis Rossman. His expectation with the whole clippy pfp thing was only to spread awareness or "win the cultural battle", not expecting real change.

He talks about it here, at 4:40ish.

That being said, not posting for a day kinda just sounds like they wanted a day off. Changing a pfp probably would have done more lol.
