Gold and silver are up both nearly 30-40% each while the dollar is falling off a cliff to a 4 year low. WHAT IS GOING ON?

That said, the number of "almost accidentally destroyed the planet by initializing nuclear war" events in the Cold War is so staggeringly high, and that's just what was declassified, that it's a miracle that humanity still exists. So many events of a technical malfunction making it look like the other side was attacking, accidents causing explosions that seemed like enemy attacks, and all kinds of other hijinks.

It's surreal to learn that the US alone has lost dozens and dozens of nukes, possibly hundreds, due to shit like planes crashing with them aboard. There's quite a few never recovered.

My sympathies for the euros who are going to get a billion jeets incoming and re-enact Camp of the Saints aside because everyone already knows, I do find it funny how European govs have been histrionic about the Ukraine Conflict and the US pulling back, when the US has been the country to put tariffs on India for buying Russian oil and the EU is now basically doubling down on buying from India and keeping the Russian economy afloat.
