Rules for making jokes about video games: you need to make them on a medium that is adjacent to them, such as a forum shitpost.
Stand up comedy simply doesn't work well for it. This nigga should seek christ and after he has done that, he should seek out Patrick Tomlinson to ask about some better standup technique because god damn that sucked.

Let's just forget the fact that like 95% of 90s black metal bands and a good chunk of other metal bands referenced LotR in some way, Blind Guardian is one of the most well known power metal bands and most of their songs are about Tolkien's works. Not to forget, fucking Led Zeppelin has multiple songs referencing Tolkien's work. And that's just in rock and metal music I don't even have to go into the fact that he single-handedly made the blueprint for Western fantasy for decades after the books were written. Sure, the movies did cement LotR's position in pop culture even more, but saying that it didn't even exist in pop culture before then? Fucking insanity.

I think the only games he had on rotation right now is SF6 and Clair Obscura (potentially Hollow Knight too) which I think he will inevitably Wage Quit as well.
My bet is that once he runs out of games he'll just sit in his studio essentially screaming "give me money until I get 150 bucks" for 5 hours. Kind of unsurprising to be honest.

I've been following DSP's thread since before he had his own subforum and it's incredible how much he devolved. I went from checking out the TIHYDP whenever I beat a game to watching a clip or two here and there to not even being able to tolerate listening to him more than five seconds.
Current Phil is just a more sanitized Daniel Larson or old Chris. He's a lab monkey trying to make sense of a world he'll never fully understand. He convinces himself that facing one wall and scratching his head gets him bananas until it doesn't so he turns his face to a different wall and scratches his ass instead. Meanwhile the scientists are downies in labcoats trying to spite other downies by randomly giving the monkey bananas when they feel like it. The whole thing becomes harder to stomach when it's happening to a 40-something yo who looks like a melting fucking ghoul who thinks he runs the lab. It's horrifying to think this is all his life is going to be until he's dead unless Dave and Linda have millions stashed.
He tried looking up guides and ended up making a bigger fool of himself with his shitty acting or by losing with op builds. He tried making the streams so boring even some of his dents stopped tolerating him but what's actually gonna drive detractors away is him becoming so sad and pathetic. I can't even describe the feeling he elicits, it's not anger nor pity but all it takes is a picture of current Phil for alarm bells to go off in my head.

I checked into RawPhil's stream and just watching a few minutes and Phil does what he yells about other SF players: mash jab, random level 3 and so on. DarkSydeProjector all right. Also when he got double perfected by that Cammy I was laughing so hard. You can really see how he clams up once the Cammy appears in the "Here comes a new challenger" screen and he never stops being so clamed up. Plus isn't Gief vs Cammy favorable to Gief? That Cammy player wiped the fucking floor with him because Phil is so weak when he is constantly under pressure (GTG once said that Phil is weak in fighting games when you just keep up the pressure) and that Cammy player never stopped applying more and more pressure

He can't drop it cause it'd make him look bad wage quitting the GOTY.
I guess he'll go for a cheese build this time, but he'll likely fail for the same reason he failed last stream: he doesn't understand the game on a mechanical level.
Some builds requires you to use different attacks and he's basically spamming the same moves while ignoring the special gradient moves and shooting shileds.
I guess he'll stop and claim the last boss is too hard and nobody beat it, then do a two neurons review how it's good because it's different.
(no way he's mentioning what made the game unique)
