To be fair to other newfags, I've been lurking here almost daily since 2020 even during the tor only days

, and even before that I was dipping my toes into various threads long before so I have a decent idea of how not to sperg out (even if i do sometimes). If I had immediately made an account it would have taken a while to get the culture here as it's very unique, almost too good to be true. It feels like a forum from the early 2000s. I slowly watched the rest of the web go to shit so this place really is like a life raft.

I've actually been trying to remember the first time I ever saw this place, in 2015 my buddy was a big Chrischan follower and he used to show me all sorts of clips on some non-popular website so it was likely this, but i feel like it had a different layout. First time I consciously remember writing the name kiwifarms to memory in 2017 because I was looking for info on the drunken peasants breakup and found the TJ thread.

Anyways I should have made an account sooner, null just made it seem so scary in the point of no return warning.

IIRC, they used the Spanish American war as a pretext to overthrow the queen and annex the Hawaiian Islands.
There were a lot of shady dealings involved and I don't believe it officially became a state until 1960s.
Another fun fact about the states is that the Arizona territory was the one and only state that was founded by the Confederate States of America.
Thank fucking god I received most of my schooling outside of the states.

It’s school specific. I learned about all of that and then some…IN GRADE SCHOOL. And I live in California. Granted it was a Vivek Ramiswami style school where we had classes constantly and only had a 2 week long summer break, we were still taught a fuck ton more than others. There was stuff I learned in 3rd grade that I didn’t see mentioned in a classroom again until college.

This is why school choice is a massive issue everyone should fight for. Some schools are objectively worse than others and parents should have the right to research and put their kids in the best schools.
