Phil found a very small amount of success as a SFII player because he was one of the only people retarded enough to dedicate his life to it, ten years after it came out after everyone else had moved on to newer games and there was only a very small pool of competition to begin with.

When you switch the games you realise just how retarded it is. Imagine someone bragging about being really good at FIFA 13 and claiming they were a professional sports game player.

Does anyone else feel like when he tries talking to other players in ARC Raiders, it sounds like he's putting the old John Rambo-impersonation inflection into his voice? Like back when he was still friends with John and would hang out with him regularly, you could definitely hear him copying some of his speech patterns. I could swear it sounds like he's doing that again, specifically when he talks to other players.

Almost like that was the last time in his life he interacted with other guys, and is defaulting back to how he tried copying John for that back in the day.

Yeah, I doubt he'll ever truly go away. This shit is in his blood now; he'll be making videos even if he only has a thousand subs, because it's all he knows how to do.

That said, I don't think he'll end up in that state. There are enough idiots in the world to prop up DSP for life. I'll relish the schadenfreude if it happens, but I'm not holding my breath.

In the meantime, we'll never, ever run out of content for DSP Tries It/TIHYDP, so net win all-around IMO.
