And it is quite funny how he can't address the root of the issue of WHY ICE is there. That is something I find interesting about this situation. I have been thinking about what a reverse of it might look like, if this was a right wing city and population refusing to comply with the federal government on, say, gun laws or some gay communist mandate. In such a situation you would see constant mentions of why they are fighting and why they believe the federal government doesn't have the right to do what it is trying to do. But in this case they don't actually come out and say it, they just dance around the issue and never address the fact that these are immigration laws that have existed for DECADES and are only now being enforced. They make no appeals based on any sort of legal framework or even explain their position. It is just assumed as default that immigration law doesn't exist.

arent (semi) auto shotguns notorious for being very unreliable? at least that's what i hear from everybody, they all say auto shotguns don't work reliably enough, and recommend getting a pump action instead.

Semi-auto works well in metal cartridges because they are smooth and uniform. Shotgun shells are plastic and can vary a bit on the crimped end so they have a lot more chances to catch on a magazine or feed ramp and fail to chamber. Pump action is a lot more reliable but can still get caught and struggle to chamber, but this is mitigated by you chambering it with more force than a semi-auto spring can as you pump it forward.

Yea, it's super important to not be misquoting people. He doesn't outright say he wants cops fighting ICE. However, he implies that his objection is just a practical one wherein the cops would be outnumbered by ICE 5-to-1. In other words, he'd really like to, but they just couldn't win.

Now, of course, this is all just performative talk for his retarded leftist supporters because he wouldn't order them to attack ICE no matter what the numbers were. First, the cops wouldn't even obey him. Second, he'd just very quickly end up arrested and then in prison for a long time.
