As someone coming from the Synthetic Man threads, it's the same with anyone with those ghoulish views. They have absolutely nothing positive going on in their lives whether that be with relationships, careers or any sort of meaningful experiences outside of a small bubble whether that be a backwater shithole or the same four walls of their room every day. So they dedicate themselves to the online space and become more and more detached with reality and their humanity over time to the point that they cheer on the violent death of a mother who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
