Then you have the problem that the oil in Venezuela is expensive to refine. So you already have a fully supplied US market that can only absorb a tiny share of more costly Venezuelan crude.
So, you are in a situation where the US does not need the oil; the Eurozone could take a bit, but it lacks the large-scale infrastructure and has cheaper alternatives. So there are only a few places that can buy it, and one of those is China. They have the infrastructure and the demand, and if you think US oil companies are not going to suck Chinese cock for money, then you are a lost cause.

The US is already producing oil at a surplus because of Obama era fracking initiatives that are still in place. The only reason to take Venezuela is to lessen the impact of losing the few imports we do receive when we send troops to Iran to die for Israel.
