2025 US and Venezuela Conflict - Operation Just Cause 2: 2 Just 2 Cause

The closest comparison would be the capture of Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega, also by special forces, on this very day in 1990.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer says the UK was not "involved in any way" in the US operation in Venezuela, but he is seeking more information before commenting on it... Asked if he would condemn the action as number of UK MPs, some from Labour's left and some independents, already have, Starmer said "I want to establish the facts first. I want to speak to President Trump. I want to speak to allies. As I say I can be absolutely clear we were not involved in that".
Lol.

I would like to hear about what level of treatment (from street thug to king) Maduro's getting, and see him sputtering in outrage once he's in view of a camera.

I'm wondering of the true motive for the attacks on Venezuela is because of Trump's rigged ballot box conspiracy theories (that is, the ballots are made by a Venezuelan contracted company to rig elections to the favor of the Democrats).

I can see that the "drugs" are just a cover for the rigged electronic ballot conspiracy theories.

Imagine being able to get in, kidnap a world leader and his wife, get out, and have them indicted all before breakfast.

They should put him back and do it again.

This is like irl speedrun we need this
A speedrun that started in August? Go back and read through the thread where everyone was convinced that Maduro would never be churroed. There was so little news happening in the last month that all I was posting was Maduro dance videos.

Ah, yes, a negotiated exit. That's why we have videos this morning from civilians showing US air strikes basically annihilating Venezuela's recently purchased S-400 batteries and the rest of their air defense network. Video shows US helicopters performing combat operations over Caracas, essentially unopposed. That's a helluva negotiation...
This is what is known as Teddy Roosevelt-style 'Big Stick' diplomacy. First you Speak Softly, then you ply the stick if they're too retarded to listen. FAFO has historical precedent.
I don't get the seethe posting. Wasn't the main point about Venezuela smuggling drugs into the USA, which causes a ton of deaths and social issues? Wouldn't blowing up the people responsible be a net social good.
No because they're Poor Browns who Dindu Nuffin (if you're an insane lefty redditor sticking your head in the sand). Doesn't matter if Venezuelan citizens on the whole want this, because the loud, white lefties online just see it as browns being hollocoastered. Browns are always at the top of the totem pole for them; doesn't matter if those same browns want this, it is "evil" because it's white guys doing it.

Trump tells Fox News he watched the overnight capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife "literally like I was watching a television show".

"If you would've seen the speed, the violence, it was an amazing thing," Trump says.

He praises his team as having done "an incredible job" and adds "there's no other country on earth that could do such a manoeuvre".

And thus concludes the two hour special military operation.
Russians are currently coping and seething at the sight at how professionals deal with this stuff. Took less than 30 minutes to disable AA, hit some key objectives, and grab the country leader. Meanwhile, we are soon exceeding the lenght of the Great Patriotic War for the Russian SMO in Ukraine lol...

Yeah, because the United States government is sooo benevolent and does good deeds all the time to help people around the world, totally! They're totally not doing this to force regime change and install a comprador government, lift sanctions and then say: "See? Venezuela is now free, everything is fine!"
no one cares about the intentions of the United States government here, it's obviously just motivated by selfish action and a desire to get rid of a China-aligned enemy that pedals narcotics that contribute to an epidemic in America.

The question is if the Venezuelan people can use the United State's selfish violence to their benefit to get themselves out the hell-state they're in of being ruled over by a famine-causing tin-pot dictator who nullifies elections and into literally anything else that's even marginally better.

only time will tell if that happens, but expecting any international politics to be done through "benevolence" is retarded because law of the jungle rules international relationships.

The pinto bean paste people are right to be happy that their dictator that has terrorized them has disappeared as it provides them with the chance of getting anything better, even if it ends up being a CIA-backed collaboration government, so long as the people there aren't living in literal niggerhell-tier poverty it'd be an improvement. All one can hope for is that some way, somehow, the opportunity is seized to make life better for those suffering, I hope that's what ends up happening.
