The only shock after the dust has settled is how poor it went. Some people might have enjoyed it but it's got to be one of the most worthless heel turns in history and there was zero payoff.

What's shocking is that his heel turn lead to nowhere. Cena just having matches with the likes of Randy Orton, CM Punk and the current stars of WWE before he retires might have been better instead.

As for Cena’s heel turn. True, it didn’t have a pay off. It would’ve been better had he stayed a heel leading up to the SummerSlam match where you then could’ve had the double turn.
That would’ve been cool.
But I’m not gonna sit here and be like 90% of internet Smarks and pretend like WWE is worse than AEW.
Sure, it’s definitely not as good as it was a year ago and TKO is making questionable decisions, but you have morons saying things like “Triple GPT” and saying HHH is the worst Booker ever and some of them are unironically saying they want Vince back like they don’t remember how bad the second half of the 2010’s and first two years of the 2020’s were.
I’m not excusing shit booking but this is mediocre booking, AEW and their faggot loser champion Hangman is shit booking.
