I don't think it really works like that. Jobs aren't finite, and most resources don't really function like they are either. I mean if there's more people they need more resources, so whoever's job it is to give people the resources will be hiring, right?

It's not even that. You can't really have a big family in the western world in general unless you're scrounging off then government. The children of the people with replacement birthrates aren't competing for high level banking positions, they're claiming disability like their parents.
