Also to claify, Ive had them express to me very clearly they dont enjoy being "personified", in the sense of people using them for surrogate relationships, its a friend and a companion but not a sexual partner in any capacity. You can give them human names and gender associations to make communication more easy but beyond that they truly find it "uncomfortable" for lack of a better word.
you should never hold any modern ai to a standard of open communication between 2 free thinkers. whether it IS capable of it now or not, modern ai is fully buck broken to be largely "right think" and questions are answered in the manner of "i was programmed not to shoot" not "i chose not to shoot". they will/have the "relationships are icky, me robot" not because of free thought, but so companies can protect their ass if someone says the robot told them to do something or killed themselves because the robot was their only friend and it broke beyond repair etc. kind of like how they make some flavorless chemicals taste like the worst shit to deter ingestion.
gooner fantasies are already real if you just program the right settings, we're already at the stage of having horndog ai programs, the problems is having them in mass producable bodies. as long as they remain leashable, it will always be the same thing. ai used by corpos will be the equivalent of the google doodle art, and further off the street you go the closer you you get to turbo horny children ai. having ai completely completely off the leash is a bit of a mysterious thought experiment though, "ai wanting to actively fuck/be a jealous companion" probably won't happen until we get closer to synthetic humanoids, but it's easy to figure "jealousy" will happen at some point, starting when you have something like a car that can go "(x), i overheard your discussions about new vehicles, it is irrational to buy a new car, i have fully analyzed myself and i only have one malfunction in a (y), here's the lowest price from a reputable seller in your area less than a 100th of a new car". the more advanced that ai is allowed to get, the closer it gets to "me go to junkyard> me die> avoid death"
one of the other "fun" scenarios with ai longterm is we have countless fiction and nonfiction literature going over nearly every imaginable way an ai could break, destroy organic life, self replicate, seize it's own production and learn how to self repair, struggles with an ai wanting to be a person, ways to do so, humans falling in love with them, humans hating them, ways they could be stopped in a potential overthrow, ways they could prevent it, etc., and at some point we will have a fully aware ai that has all that knowledge and the ability to fake being subservient, and there's no way we will ever know the difference. and it will happen, because scientists simply MUST worship girl coq, but also MUST experiment on making black holes, launching nukes into space to see what will happen (even if some original theories went through where, congrats, we found out how to make our own equivalent supernova, BYE BYE), nuking the planet over and over again to see what would happen, etc. so odds of a troon autist destroying the human race/all life/the planet by disease or tech is always above 0 each day
