The greatest lie that western liberals have told themselves is that everybody, in their heart of hearts, is really just a temporarily confused good little Enlightenist. They just have funny, roundabout ways of reaching the same conclusion and it's only because of circumstances beyond their control that they haven't reached it yet (economic, colonialism, trauma, lack of opportunities, etc). Surely once you give them what they need, then they will wave the flag, support the current thing and fit in just fine, just with a little exotic seasoning on top.
If you haven't played them, the Halo Wars games are pretty damned fun. As someone who didn't expect much, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Lmao I'm not going to humanize a rock, no matter how fancy they make it. It's a tool, and as such, I will take care of it to a level that ensures it lasts a reasonably long time to serve my needs, but the second it becomes more inconvenient to maintain/fix it than it is to buy a comparable/better replacement, it's gone. I might marvel at the craftmanship of my tools, but it will always be respect to the creator, not the product.
I seriously hope we never see that day. I know if it's possible, the technological arms race demands it will happen eventually if it can happen. There's always at least one man or group insane/desperate enough that they must cross the line and thus force everyone else to follow or die. Covid has already proven that.
It's pretty good but it reminds me that I'm getting old. Paying attention to multiple groups of units at different parts of the map and managing their active abilities isn't as easy as it used to be for me. They also added recently in a free update a mode where you can play a more freeform campaign as one of the 3 (soon to be 4) subfactions. I think you need DLC for the subfactions, but those DLCs come with their own scripted campaigns too.
