I've always really liked the Aryan Brotherhood as a unifier. I understand that to some people the tag might seem like just a shock factor, but the concept is just so interesting. A regime based on self hatred and love for another culture is super unique and has a lot of story potential. And it's not TOO unrealistic either, Pol Pot's Cambodia was basically a genocide against itself, there was also a super obscure far left terrorist group named the "East Asian Anti Japanese Armed Forces" who wanted to commit a genocide against themselves so they could atone for their crimes against humanity. Also iirc the EAAJAF also had a fascination with Ainu and Ryukyuan culture, the same way the Aryan Brotherhood has a fascination with German culture. Honestly in general, reality often is crazier than fiction.

I never liked AB. Not taken seriously in or out of universe, waste of a good concept and character, hyperborea feels tacked on.
His 2wrw portrayal, however, is pretty cool. He goes from losing his marbles to actively throwing them at people when he declares himself to be Big H reborn. Not sure if it completely redeems it through

It's a real shame Knots & Barbed Wire turned out to be a toozer mod, it would've been really interesting to explore since the PoD is that Carthage beats Rome during the Punic Wars. Now this is just pure speculation but I think Christianity would exist in this TL in keeping with the analogue of Russia as Ethiopia and by that extent Russia would be Christian, also the presence of an Orthodox cross on the flag of Russia, and exploring how Christianity would've evolved in a timeline without Rome would've been really interesting.

I played it a bunch and it's pretty fun, the mod has basically the same mechanics as vanilla EU4, just with some new trade goods, provinces, and mission trees, so there's nothing really new to learn. One thing I found interesting is that tribal nations, like germany, slavia, or the nordics start as "backwards" tribes so you have to embrace the Renaissance before you can conquer too much (there's an admin efficacy and province warscore cost debuff before reforming from an unorganized tribe to a tribal kingdom). If you want to check out the mod, they recently did a nordic update, I also enjoyed playing in the british isles, north africa, and the slavic world.

Someone on the team leaked the updated plans for Gus Hall in the US rework to 4chan. tl;dr go center-left or get impeached.
I liked the old concept for Yockey and Hall and how both were built up over the years. It did capture the decline of America better than TFR does in many ways as events built up the frustrations from voters as their elected officials never did anything, a good piece of narrative feedback to your actions. I think that's only become more relevant with time. Both ended on cliffhangers that implied that America as we knew it was about to drastically change. The US rework really is end of history liberalism where you can only delay the inevitable march towards contemporary establishment centrism. Wallace is another one; from being able to enact nationwide segregation and his election being extremely consequential for the nation, to him barely delaying civil rights by a few years in parts of America. Nothing ever happens.

This has been the norm now for big names in the HoI4 modding community since TNO crashed and burned to the point it's gone full circle and I would say it would be refreshing to actually see someone try to take a crack at the 'what if X won WW1' premise again.
Hard mode would be not pet schizo ideologies, no muh (arbitrary) realism, and no seething leftists (but I repeat myself).

Personally, I would like to see a post-WW2 scenario in which Italy doesn't ally with Germany and forms her own block, thus creating a 3-way cold war after Germany's defeat.
Your goal would be to manage proxy conflicts around the globe, and the way WW3 would break out will be based on those conflicts. For example, if you do too well as Italy, you might get attacked by the USA and USSR at the same time, but if you make some compromises and focus on being anti-communist, you would only have to fight the USSR without the USA intervening, or at least until one side is about to lose. Even an active 3-way war would be possible under certain conditions. WW3 would be inevitable, but the way it would happen would be dynamic.
Just an idea.

It was leaked years ago that they're removing him outright. You can read about it in the US rework proposal because they outline why he's gone ("it's not realistic!") and that they'll have a deliberate obfuscation campaign to handle the bad PR. There will still be a fascist route in America but right now those are things like Phyllis Schlafly becoming a fascist dictator that destroys the world. So we've gone from a slow burn tale about "it happening here" through establishment failures to a Redditor's TDS fanfic about how Drumpfler will blow up the world.
