Unpopular opinions about food

I think eating is overrated. I filter feed.

Ok but for real though: English food is overhated. Yeah you can take the piss out of beans on toast all you want but fish and chips are great and shepherd's pie is the shit when done right.

Malt vinegar rules. Actually vinegar in general rules. I have like eight different kinds of vinegar. Plain white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, white wine vinegar, red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, other balsamic vinegar, I forget the others, but I always have vinegars.
Man you are such a vinigger lover it's not even funny.

I like vinegar so much I drink it.

Fish and chips is awesome. One of the few dishes where I'm okay with both components being deep fried. Then malt vinegar and tartar sauce. Awesome.
I don't have access to proper Fish N Chips here in Burgerland, the closest thing is Long John Silver's.

However, I occasionally get a fish platter with fries and hush puppies. A drizzle of malt vinegar over the fish really improves the taste.

I don't do this very often though, because it's expensive, but I always enjoy it when I do.

If we’re doing fruits, I do not like cantaloupe at all. It tastes bitter, sour, and slimy. I like the smell, and there’s a hint of that in the taste, but overall it’s unpleasant. I try it again every year or so because there’s very few things I don’t like.
This should be the ONLY opinion. Cantaloupe is nasty (not to be confused with "Cantaloop," which is awesome).

I am currently using apple cider vinegar laced with cleaning fluid to lure in and decimate a cheeky little colony of fruitflies.

On the topic of chippies, a good curry sauce really elevates whatever you're eating (deep fried chocolate excluded) but a lot of place make it very stodgy instead of spiced and acidic so it just makes the lethargy of a chippy tea even worse.

Thread tax: Most hot chips use an excessive amount of citric acid to the point that I can't stomach eating more than two or three of them, I remember buying a bag of Takis at import price before they ended up in every paki shop on the island and that shit was so nasty I ended up binning it. Wasted three quid on that shit.

Not a big fan of deviled eggs. I like eggs just fine but never got into these. Always awkward at get together because somebody will inevitably bring a plate of them, I’ll eat one or two to be polite and then get hounded because I’m not inhaling them by the handful
I have the opposite experience. Often these will get devoured so quickly many people won't even get one.

I have to admit to the food crime of liking them with Miracle Whip.
