there are some third party wired controllers that are close enough to being replicas of the default wireless one.

But as far as I know, even those all use detachable USB cables for the wired connection. I never thought I'd have to reminisce fondly about something as pedestrian as controllers with proper soldered, insulated, strain relieved cables.

Today, the current dash is pretty usable. Everything is in the guide (Xbox button), where it should be. And it functions pretty much like the 360 guide.

I'd have to disagree as a Xbox 1 user myself.

I hate how some things are unorganized like how pressing [Y] opens the app store or how the [X] button changes depending on whether you are in the left menu bar or the main screen (the issue is that one instance opens a menu and the other instance ejects your game disc).

I dunno, I always thought this to be so ugly.
That putrid green color on the tiles and having to scroll endlessly to find shit, I never liked it.

It doesn't hold a candle to the blades UI but fuck it I miss this kind of simplicity and prefer it wholeheartedly over the Windows-8-Meets-Windows-Phone noise pollution that's the current Xbox One UI.

However, upon recent discovery, the original upload was doctored.

It was the second console I asked for. My first was the PS2 for LEGO Star Wars. First time I was old enough to notice a commercial, form and voice a consumerist desire and realize that I needed it (compatibility awareness). Before that games and consoles were things that just existed somehow.

The XBox 360 I got for Red Dead Redemption and it was mostly a Battlefield and Assassins Creed box. The last game I ever played on it was GTA V and it was fucking garbage (San Andreas on PS2 was better).

The Xbox was also the last time that anybody actually talked in a video game multiplayer lobby.

Example: handling messages and invites. Back in the 360 days, you'd open up the Xbox Guide, navigate to Messages, see all your received messages and invites in one place. Now, to see your invites, you have to open up the Guide, scroll down to the bell icon to see your invites. To see text messages, scroll to the Messages icon. Now, what if somebody outside your list sent you a message? Now, you have to scroll to a Chat submenu.
