Even reddit can't do the basic 'he saved us all' platitudes. Most useless president outside carter, and absolutely tied worst with obama.
Wilson was the worst president and it's not even close. He:
  • was /pol/-tier racist and it wasn't even funny
  • was an academic globohomo elitist
  • didn't care about US sovereignty and full-on believed in one-world government
  • got over 100,000 Americans killed in WWI because he thought it would help bring about one-world government
  • used WWI to give himself a ton of tyrannical wartime powers, many of which he refused to relinquish
  • used wartime powers to enact all of the creepy police state policies that are now used by Democrats to go after political opponents
  • used wartime powers to enact all of the creepy police state policies that are now used by the federal government to spy on and harass Americans
  • had a stroke at the beginning of his second term, had the globohomo media commies cover it up, and his wife literally ran the White House
  • used wartime powers to prohibit alcohol and set the stage for Prohibition
  • if you're a piss-eyed manchild incel: he is why women have the right to vote
There are so many reasons to fucking hate Wilson and these are just a few. Obama does not compare and, to be honest, not even Joe Biden does because at least everyone already knows the guy was a joke.

So it’s like what Biden would’ve been if he was slightly less retarded

No one likes Wilson these days because from the modern day perspective he was too racist for the left and too globalist for the right. The Federal Reserve Act, 19th Amendment, "Wilsonianism" and the 17th Amendment have their critics to.

With everything that has come to past in the last 100 years, he's the perfect President for people from all sides of the political aisle to dislike.

At what point do you just lock this guy in a hole and forget about him?

And this is with all the unemployment happening because of immigration and all the panic of AI bubbles and removing jobs, Powell has apparently said he'll watch the unemployment for determining rate cuts in December.

Glad to know the doomposting has been fake and gay for the most part.

Hey now, maybe he wasn't all that bad...

Strange how the bridge named after him was never changed unlike other structures in the early 2020s.

The duality of man is such that the same president who showed The Birth of a Nation at the White House was also the leading architect of the League of Nations. To be fair he probably had no idea how things would turn out considering he died in 1924 but life works in mysterious ways.

League of Nations was a joke honestly. At least his brainchild imploded

Sometimes I think there's some sort of concerted psyop in this thread with how absolutely lock step a cohort of regular posters are here with doom posting the moment something doesn't go towards maximum authoritarianism.
In one way, I can't blame them.

When things don't change immediately, it's maybe form to think 'oh well, things won't ever change' which doesn't factor in that sometimes things will change but take a long time to happen.

Take, for example, buying a football club or a business - that takes months of hard negotiations and contracts being signed before the deal happens.

With societal change, things have to reach rock bottom before the bounce upwards begins - the UK is nearing this point with the wholly unpopular Budget, but thereafter there will definitely be changes and maybe even a change of Government sooner than anticipated.

As an optimist and pragmatist, I try to see four or five steps ahead - what can be, what can happen and how it is possible for it to happen.

The 'Something Never Happens' Meme has its place, but when something does happen we need to recognise that it is only a Meme and that reality changes pretty quickly at times.

What kind of jobs?

It's also worthwhile to keep in mind that none of these opinions happen in a vacuum; how often do people look at their own lives and think "this or that thing has always been the same", and then unconsciously extrapolate that to the larger world?
