Is Null feeling Positive Polly? did he finally had pizza?
According to a mod, they changed it as a joke because of Null's crash out. It wasn't null that changed it.
But I feel like it's a good sentiment. Hope is a good counter to the demoralization. I've definitely felt the effects of campaigns weighing down on my resolve before. I was apprehensive on election night last year, thinking they could just steal it again.
Some things to be hopeful about:
- ICE received a huge budget increase. It takes time to hire and train up staff. We know they've been working on it. I think we can be hopeful to see a huge increase in deportations next year.
- $100,000 fee on H1Bs go into effect next year. Yes there are companies that are co-opted that see chain migration as the goal. They pay more for their kin, and don't use H1B as a way to cut costs. However that's the minority. That extra $100k a year is going to severely change the math of Jeetification. And I am hopeful it's the first step in breaking the system down. Probably never going away, but definitely making it a premium for talent.
- I don't think the midterms are as dire as people think they will be. We've seen a continuing advantage in party registration like that lead up to 2024. Texas flipped five seats to lean/safe Rep, and California flipped out like it was the end of the world. If they felt like they had a strong advantage going into 2026, they'd make a stink, but they acted like it was an existential threat. I'm not saying it's in the bag, the demoralization campaigns are already spinning up. Don't let those around you give up on winning because they are easily plied by propaganda. I think a much different Democratic Party is coming out of their primaries, and it could be worse for them than 2024 if Far Left Progressive candidates sour the independents that were already chaffing under the Establishment Dems.
Go forth USPG. Be hopeful, be vocal about what you don't like, but don't let some faggot trick you into giving up over it.
