The thing about Trump is that he's stupid. Which I would argue can be worse than flat out evil, because at least an "evil" person knows what they're doing and has a very clear plan. Trump is just throwing shit at the wall, trying to see what sticks, and is trying to distract people from the issues here at home by doing stupid shit, whether it be AI deepfake memes or using pop songs of artists who don't want him using their shit for his cringe content.
Hell, I'd argue that the Gatsby party is probably going to be seen as the tipping point against him when history looks back, because he has underestimated how many people were forced to read The Great Gatsby in public school and/or know the Cliff's Notes for it. It can't be understated just how tone deaf it was, especially if you know the meaning of the book's themes, when you had people losing SNAP/EBT benefits the following day and America is on the teetering edge of another Great Depression.

Power Level: my dad is a disabled veteran, my mom is deeply involved in veterans' charities like collecting donations for veteran food banks & emergency housing - it's an absolute shitshow right now, charities are being pushed to their limit, due to being flooded with requests from struggling veterans . It’s actually part of the plan. If we can come together and provide as a community in the short term, it’s the proof the federal government needs to say we can fend for ourselves all the time. It’s how they slowly chip away all the rights and protections we worked so hard for.

This reminds me of something I have seen constantly on threads in this site. And I will say it here.
I've seen a few claims saying "people should get jobs and pull themselves out of poverty and get out of reliance on SNAP or government assistance or government housing."
Cool idea. But there's just one problem. I'm going to be very realistic. When you're born in poverty, it is very hard to get out of it. And a lot of people on assistance are disabled, mentally and physically. Which means they can't work. Some can. And some can't. Most people I know can't. And not because they want to just not work. This is what you will see a lot in section 8. You have to be below the poverty line to even live there. You can't get out of poverty when you're below it.
Yes there are some that I know of that had kids to get more EBT or welfare, but tbh, it's a small percentage.
I'm sorry but a lot of the times you can't just magically get out of poverty. From what I witnessed growing up poor, you are poor for life. And it's not by choice. I know a lot of people who want to get out but real life has pretty much fucked them over.
It happens. And realistically, you just deal with it and try to take what you get to survive, which is just living within your means.
