Had some Suntory -196. Apparently their patented "Freeze-Crush-Infusion-Technology" is meant to infuse citrus notes, but all they ended with is the flavour of bottom shelf vodka. I'm actually astonished how bad it is.

I drink it during the summer, it's really refreshing. You can use other anise-flavored liquors as a substitute if you can't find pastis itself.Going to try some cheap Pastis at some point in the next week because I saw it in some faggy French movie and the liquor store was out of aquavit. Ricard Pastis is one of my favorite drinks, haven't had it since around 2013. Thank you kindly for digging that memory out of my scathed brain folds, good sir. That's pretty close to an espresso martini, so I'd imagine it was pretty alright.I put some vodka and Kahlua in some fresh coffee and it came out pretty good. While I taste-tested before adding the Kahlua, I made a point not to add too much of either. Usually Kahlua is sickly sweet, even in other drinks, so maybe the coffee and vodka evened it out somehow.
I keep an eye out for ones that don’t have Kahlua.That's pretty close to an espresso martini, so I'd imagine it was pretty alright.
