They'll break out whatever way they want. If they want to go all day, they will. Even if the cause is over. All news has been propaganda to some extent, but if you want to talk about more recent history, you can go back to the founding of the intelligence agencies in America that happened right after the end of WWII. A famous thing most people will cite thought is Operation Mockingbird in the 1960s, which is when the CIA started infiltrating all of our news agencies with operatives. News agencies also are owned by corporations, and of course the ownership wants the news to reflect what's good for the bosses.
