The most important argument against any amnesty position is that Democrats aren't even trying to reach a compromise position. Instead they are spending millions of dollars and thousands of hours attempting to prevent the deportations of convicted criminals and gang members through lies and insincere lawfare.
I've looked at the sources he cites and none of them say anything like that. Mario is a liar at best and no one fact checks him because they assume that listing sites as sources means he's telling the truth.

I think the party is more generally stuck in an oppositional mindset worthy of a Minnesota non-practicing lawyer. In order to justify their existence, they have to be "not the currently-dominant party," which allows you to take sensible positions when the dominant party is crazy, but forces you to go down roads best left un-tread when they aren't.

What I think is most damaging to Democrats is that there are a lot of people now in their 30's and 40's who experienced, first-hand, US liberals saying they don't want to trans the kids, they don't want to shove gay rights down people's throats, they don't want to take away all guns, they don't want to eliminate borders, and so on, only for the same liberals to promote all of these things less than a decade later. There are a lot of things you can say about the Republicans and all their retarded shenanigans, but at least they aren't trying to use government authority to take your child away, turn him or her into a tranny, hand them off to a state-sanctioned predator, and then reward themselves for the privilege.
