I believe one suspect they have is Jerry Johns. He murdered at least one of the girls and was imprisoned for attempting to commit a similar homicide. He died behind bars in 2015.

They found DNA on the shirt in the backpack and a hair from one of the daughters. Implying that there was some sort of abuse is a stretch. It was probably from moving the body.

So the Tara Calico kind of ending then? I think the theory with her was that a son of a cop hit and killed Tara and his family covered it up.

I can't even remember if Tara Calico was solved. They never figured out the other kid in the picture did they.

To my knowledge it was never solved. But the wide belief is the theory that she got hit and killed while working out and it all got covered up. A lot of people assume the photo wasn't her.

Not too long ago, we've started sleeping with the windows open because it's hot. Imagine my sheer FUCKING terror when I'm asleep and at 4 AM I hear what can only be described as a child fucking crying. I immediately grabbed my gun and ran outside (like any good American would when they hear a child) and I see it's a fucking coyote. They are genuinely fucking terrifying.
On a different note, what's the news on Kenny Veach? Anything new? You think it was a suicide like the last theory and they've been humoring that one.

The unsolved murder of Frauke Liebs:
Frauke Liebs was a nursing student from Paderborn, Germany. On June 20 2006, she was last seen leaving the pub where she'd spent the evening with a friend at 11 PM. Despite sending a text message to her housemate later that night saying she'd be home soon, she never came home and she didn't show up for work the next day (which is when she was reported missing). The text message was later found to have been sent from Nieheim, a town located 35 kilometers from Paderborn.
Edit: the timing of the first text message was also off. Her home was only located 1.2 kilometers from the bar, so it should've taken her at most 20 minutes to get home. In spite of this, the text message was sent at 0:49 AM, nearly 2 hours after she left the bar.
In the following days, Frauke would call and text her housemate multiple times. These calls and text messages originated from different industrial areas of Paderborn. She insisted she would return home soon, but she only gave vague or cryptic answers when asked about her current situation. Her last phone call to the housemate was made on June 27, when her sister was also present. During this conversation, she was asked if she was being held captive – to which she first answered ”yes" in a quiet voice, only to follow up with "NO" in a much louder voice. Contact broke off after that call.
Frauke's body was discovered by a hunter in a ditch close to road L 817 in October 2006, still wearing the clothes she was wearing on the day of her disappearance (but with her purse, cellphone, watch and wallet missing). Because of the skeletonized state of the body, the time and the cause of death couldn't be determined. It's theorized that she was held captive in the Nieheim area and murdered some time after the last call she made. The killer likely forced her to make the phone calls and messages that were traced to the Paderborn area in order to mislead her family and the police.
Although the police interviewed over 900 people and was able to narrow the investigation down to five suspects, all suspects were eventually cleared.

I think he just died by pushing himself so hard and they just couldn't find his body. He was suicidal before so I wouldn't completely say it's not true.
It's probably one of those.

Roe deer can sound really human sometimes and there's been more than one time I've been startled during the night by them screaming in the garden.

Spending time listening to the nightmarish sounds animals make in the woods at night really makes you appreciate all the horrific creatures humans have come up with in their folklore. The sounds a fox makes sound like they should come from an unholy monster and not a cute fluffy little guy.

Something I've been listening to a lot is creepy stories from military personnel, guys that were in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places. Be interesting to hear some of those type of stories here.

The girls were in their mid-teens and I doubt they kidnapped the girl and killed her. The focus on the car definitely points to the girl being hit and the most likely explanation is teens coming home drunk from a party hit the kid running across the highway in a storm and getting the parents to help cover it up.
More like he fell or jumped in the river. The camera coverage wasn't anywhere near as complete as the unsolved mystery sites make it sound and there is also speculation that he could have commited suicide due to his behavior at the time and all the stressors he had in his life.
