South Park + Its Political Sperging (?) Thread - Season 26 ongoing!

South Park has always been kind of political-ish but I think the difference is the main characters' reaction to it. That hate crime episode from season 4 was trying to get a message across race-based laws, but Stan and Kyle clearly didn't care much about that stuff. They were just trying to get Cartman out of prison so that they could win a sledge race against the girls. Nowadays the boys' actively get involved in political stuff themselves and actively comment on race-related politics (usually with Kyle being the good side and Cartman being the bad side)
Since Kyle has been the “moral” mouthpiece for the show over the years, here’s a simple take on him.

Early-middle seasons Kyle- “You see, I learned something today” and it was usually something mundane or level-headed. Usually about pop culture or fads.

Later seasons Kyle- obnoxious Sperging multiple times an episode on the given topic/issue presented at the time. Increasingly on-the-nose.

Now- There is no Kyle. Literally. He’s barely appeared this season. The show IS pure politics now. It is no longer satire, it’s biased political seething in cartoon form with zero nuance or cleverness.

Ngl, some of my friends who liked the first two episodes are now starting to get sick of this whole Trump arc. Mind you they aren't even fans of his and are mostly neutral on politics. They even admitted some of the a.i slop that people are posting are more entertaining episode ideas than what were really getting. They also stated that they're starting to believe that this whole Satan baby arc is going to be a let down with whatever the child is going to be. Some have predicted the baby will be a "non binary" baby which I'm sure Trump is going to pissed! /sneed . Others have said that the baby will be a random politician which will be a huge let down. Honestly, unless this baby will bring about the return of an old character, this whole Trump and Satan baby plot is going to be a let down.
What if the baby is somehow Kenny? And he's all grossed out and pissed off about it.
In one of the previous episodes it's established that when Kenny dies his mother suddenly gives birth to him again due to some sort of demonic sex cult orgy thing they joined in on so it's not that much of a stretch to make him somehow bounce to Satan if his mom can't have kids temporarily

You guys are still watching huh? Guess someone’s gotta document it but, shit I feel bad, If I knew who you guys were I’d take you all somewhere you’d want to go instead of watching Mpreg, dickjoke, le orangeman? le bad! Show.however This thread is addictive, it’s like watching a billion dollar lolcow and a zoo of it’s enablers without the fear of it molesting someone or killing himself.

I do like that Lianne is finally calling Cartman out on his shit, Tsst is an old favorite of mine because we finally see Cartman getting some pushback, but the other stuff gets annoying after a while.
I'm not a fan of Liane but I'm not gonna get into the reasons why because I've talked about it a dozen times already and after a while it just seems autistic.

Most of these lardasses praising South Park for taking a stand against le orange man probably didn't even know it was still on air up until 2 months ago. Tbh when they completely avoided Biden, I was actually kind of hopeful. Since I was thinking that this meant they were finally done with politics for good. Of course all that went completely out of the window lmao.

Got recommended this video. If you been following this thread, there's likely not much you haven't read here or elsewhere criticizing the show. But it's a good summarization of all the issues plaguing the show at the moment.
I saw this comment on the video that pretty much went "You're just mad because its making fun of daddy Trump" and going "They're doing it because Trump's supporters are oversensitive."

Literally apart from that one Trump White House press release saying "South Park is not relevant" nobody in the Trump Administration cares that much about South Park. I've seen more leftists making these stupid fantasy scenarios where they were scared that Trump was going to cancel South Park and calling ICE retards because they used their episode to promote themselves ala "They don't realize they're being made fun of". The truth is they don't care because nobody changed their minds politics wise because South Park made fun of them.

If the argument that "Biden was boring" is the reason they didn't do any episodes about him then I would like to ask leftists how they think repeated "He has a small peepee" joke is not getting old, boring, and sticking it to Trump? Its literally getting to the point where they can do an episode of Trump eating shit and leftists will laugh their asses off thinking it's "sticking it to the man". Once again, liberals act like South Park is this show that can move the masses and that they have to stick it to Trump because millions have to know what he's doing.

It's funny when you remember Liane occasionally admonished him in the earlier seasons, even going back to the first episode ("Don't be difficult, Eric!"). She was never a good mother, but being a funny crack whore beats a generic "woe is me!" struggling single mom any day. Come to think of it, I can't recall the last time they made fun of it past Season 9.

Most of us checked out long ago, so it's less watching and more spoiling ourselves with clips and sharing Cartman's schadenfreude laughing at M&T.

The issue is that there is no god damn pay off for the first and third and the second always gets reversed as far as Sharon finally leaving Randy getting undone and their split memory holed.
Crème Fraîche would've been a modern classic (and a nod to Sharon's roots) if it didn't have the retarded marriage drama. Maybe have her misplace the Shake Weight with the mixer, it "splooges" in one of Randy's dishes, and the food still tastes great.

Anyone who knows how Trump operates knows there would be a far more dramatic reaction if they were getting under his skin. This is cope from people who want to think their favorite safe edgy slop is still relevant. If Matt and Trey ran South Park today like they did in their prime they would be shitting on illegal immigration just as hard as ICE. They'd have an entire episode where they did something like using squatters as an analogy for illegal immigration, only to turn around and give a nuanced monologue about how one side wants to sit back and let it all burn and one side wants to stamp out the problem with raw force and sweep it under the rug when the real solution is to reform the entire system. That would be the kind of risky programming that would make the show relevant again.

Naw, that's gay. It's gayer than getting into a pile and having sex with a bunch of men.

I found it funny how she used to straight up whack him in the head in the older seasons when he got out of hand.

Damn, South Park episodes have become so stale and predictable AI is literally generating episodes superior to the real deal.

Let me rephrase this. Paramount paid one blllion dollars for something thats literally worse than what people can create with AI slop for peanuts (the suscription money).
Damn it even looks better than nu-Southpark. I hate how it looks these days as the extra details they put into the new characters and environment really takes the charm away. Season 7 to 11 was the sweet spot for me and it just gets worse from there afterwards.

This season being 10 episodes means either A: We're half way through the Trump slop and it's going to become reallllllly boring or B: It's going to be another S23 situation where X% of the season is focused on the Trump plot only to go onto (1-X)% of the season being on other stuff.

Just take comfort in knowing that this season being ten episodes long is going to be used against Trey and Matt in the Discovery lawsuit and that Matt Stone will get the sort of symbolic raping when he's forced to be deposed in said lawsuit by Discover's lawyers, the type of symbolic rape that buck broke Alan Moore so hard that he pretty much refused to have anything to do with the TV and movie industry.
