What's rich about Tess is that she makes a big deal about breaking the boundaries of traditional beauty standards... but then is extremely prideful about her allegedly youthful appearance. Looking young is one of the quintessential beauty standards that society values. If she were so progressive and pro-diversity, she wouldn't be shaming others for allegedly looking old. In fact, a lot of the same fashion houses that employ plus sized models, also employ older models as well. They look really good for old women, but they don't look not old.

It will not and cannot work because she's got the wrong hair texture to pull it off. White and Asian hair can't "lock" (which is why those braids you see her wearing come out right away).
If you have two women, and their hair is both equally clean, healthy, and hydrated, if I then take my finger and I twirl someone like Tess's hair around my finger, then let it drop, it'll fall right out. Lol, she's trying to do the baby hair thing that ethnic chicks do. The curlier your hair is, the more breakage you're going to experience, especially around the edges of the face. So then you end up with hairs that are too short to be pulled back or braided, but are also too long to go unnoticed. Some girls slick them back with gel, but a lot of others, usually ethnic chicks, will style them onto the edges of their faces with that same gel. It looks ridiculous on most white chicks, including Tess, because the hair around the edges of their faces aren't thin and whispy, so you've just got full strands of hair being glued to the face.
