there's a very real chance that being confronted with someone from a group of people he reflexively despises and considers of negligible status, and getting completely bodied, will cause such a severe break with reality that he physically attacks his opponent

Kamala came real close but she's female

Newsom might actually go for it

right over the podium
Gavin is unhinged, but I think it's an act on his part, he doesn't seem like the type to me.

It would be funny if he tried, and Vance punched him, the Secret Service would swarm him, subdue him, and he would get automatically charged with some hefty charges, battery for sure, but enhanced because Vance would be the VP.

I want Newsom to get the nomination because I want to see the narcissistic collapse happen in real time when he debates Vance

I'll give Newsom... some credit for not gravedancing. So I don't think he'd do that. He would fall apart because he's like Justin Trudeau where the state he runs is corrupt AND was a hard COVID state that banned people from going to church. So all those recent Christian converts aren't going to like that.

Especially if the Republican nominee gives him a can of Narcan.

he was at DC on j6, on camera encouraging shit and never got arrested
he's the feddiest fed to ever fed
I wouldn't even give him credit for that. The idea that he's smart enough to warrant being on the feds payroll is laughable. I do however, believe that he is a tool of the feds, but he's so retarded he unwittingly does it for free.

Newsom doesn't act unhinged because he has no reason to, he has been living in a protected bubble for decades. But he's not smart and can't think on his feet. Being presented with someone like Vance who beats him in a debate will cause real live narcissistic collapse.

I frequently point out on this board that there aren't very many Californians here, California is an alternate reality and upper class California might as well be space. People like Newsom and all the people around him are *never challenged* as long as they stay in the bubble.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid. If I were Jesus, when I rose up, I would be like "Hey, Rome? Guess what? It's time... to make a pizza" and proceed to blast it over and over with lightning.
"Render unto Caesar"
Jesus knew full well that he was powerless against the might of Rome. Basically told his followers to toe the line, because he was not going to have their back if the House of Caesar came knocking.

On the contrary, Jesus knew the Romans weren’t the problem. It was the Jews. Why humanity continues to ignore that wisdom to this day remains a mystery.

Having never read the Bible, I can assure you that my interpretation is correct (it's cooler and it makes me laugh).
I can stomach your interpretation, though.

Can confirm California is like a far western province of the Roman Republic that is in revolt when its sympathizers are not in control of the senate.

Jamal Khashoggi
I forgot this guy even existed. No one gave a fuck because he was a Saudi citizen and got killed by his own govt. The only major foreign assassination thats mattered in the past 8 years is Shinzo Abe.
Edit: Solomani was a close second.

Did you watch any of his podcast? He did an episode with Kirk. I mean, I haven't personally, but I'm just curious whether you have availed yourself of some of the best evidence to test your theory on his state of mind.

Alright, I need to brush up on my Christian theology
Even ignoring christian theology for a second, it's the logical thing to do. Just try to remember how many books of both fiction and history were written about people that got consumed by their lust for revenge, how it drove them to madness and to do irrational things that would inevitably lead them to destruction.

Forgiving your enemies is about not getting consumed by that.

There are also plenty of times in history where vengeance was the right call too.

Stuff like mistranslating "Meek," Praus in Greek, contributes to that Cult of Nice. A term the Greeks used for warhorses is the furthest thing from mild and milquetoast.
That word would still be translated along the lines of "gentle" or "obedient" though. The most important trait for a warhorse is a calm temperament that won't panic in the heat of battle or do something unexpected. An aggressive warhorse is a danger to its rider, unless that aggression can be kept in check until the rider chooses to charge.

Not sure where else to put this, but IndieWire is praising the upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson film One Battle After Another for these reasons.

Vaguely abstracted from Thomas Pynchon’s 1984-set “Vineland” but eager to reflect a variety of post-Reaganite advancements in ethno-fascism (the action starts in a recognizable today before jumping 16 years forward into a pointedly unchanged tomorrow), this propulsive, hilarious, and overwhelmingly tender paranoid comedy-thriller car chase blockbuster whatever doesn’t just stare a broken country in the face with its already prescient tale of immigrant detention centers, white nationalist caricatures, and bullshit pretenses for deploying the military into sanctuary cities. It’s also the first movie of its size to accurately crystallize how fucking anxious it feels to be alive right now — to capture the IMAX cartoonishness of our reality and provide a convincing roadmap as to how we might survive it.
Confronting the unchecked evil and bottomless humiliation of the Trump administration from its opening frames (though it wouldn’t make sense for Anderson’s script to mention the president by name), “One Battle After Another” begins at top speed and barrels forward so fast that you can barely even tell it’s moving in a perfect circle.

So the left is calling for more deaths and saying "bad people" like Charlie Kirk deserve it. Doubling down by defending Jimmy Kimmel for saying as much.

On the other hand you the man's wife saying she forgives the killer and violence is not the answer, breaking down in tears, and being consoled by the president.

Just gotta say this is not a good look for the left.
