I know this is usually a topic with every difficult game he plays and people get excited for him failing to beat it. But he WILL beat this game one way or the other. As long as the money comes through he will beat it.
Are you sure the chances of a wagequit are not high? When Phil is unable to cheese/read guides on his way, the chances of a wagequit increase. Also remember that "difficult" for phil is different from difficult for an average player.

I hope dsp doesnt play Trails in the Sky Remake. I would probably lose my shit. Then again he doesnt like long jrpg's so i think im safe.
Now only.

In the past he used to play a bunch of these until he realized his dents don't like long JRPGs. One of his most infamous playthroughs is the FES playthrough (which as an added bonus he didn't even bother with The Answer despite it is decidedly not DLC and on both the initial and the "redemption" runs) for that matter. Also note that he ragequitted Metaphor's demo some time ago.

It's Silksong, extreme difficulty is a given, this isn't Pokemon Scarlet and Violet or Doom the Dark Ages.

On the flip side there will sooner or later be plenty of guides and kind of useful ones at that.

No one here is ever really giving him shit just for using guides.

People make fun of him because:
1. He uses guides solely to pretend he is better at games than he is.
2. His ego is too fragile to handle sucking at something he hasn't learned yet or to admit there are things he doesn't know.
3. He uses them to cheese difficult games to minimize the effort he has to put in, and then brags about how easy it was for him/how hard it was for other people as if he didn't just copy someone else's build/strategy.

But mostly because:
4. He lies about using guides because he doesn't want to admit to the previous points.
Yeah all of that was implied in that one line you quoted brother.:stress:

So what part is ULTIMATE TROLLING FINALE I don't get it.
Phil beat the game, but there's a repetitive urban individual style song that plays during the credits and it's unskippable. Phil sits there complaining, but it doesn't end. It goes and goes. He mashes the controls, eventually managing to quit, then restart the credits from the beginning. Truly, this is trolling beyond the penultimate level.

Pretty sure that song was in the original, it was certainly in the remake, so not quite sure what the surprise is.

The thing with Phil is he's exceptionally stupid and untalented even compared to the redditors. No one would care if he used a guide if he then didn't spend the entire time (when he's not begging or staring at the chat, so 5%) puffing his chest out about what a GOD gamer he is and his DECADES of professional experience is the reason why he just knows everything before it happens because he's mastered so many thousands of games he can just tell intrinsically where to go. Then the guides often make it work because he insists on playing games where knowing what buttons to press where isn't actually enough because you need to actually be able to do it, not just follow a map, and this is where is unbelievable lack of skill comes in because he's literally physically incapable of learning and so will just do the exact same thing for every game he ever plays while telling you how good he is (and how fundamentally broken the entire game is).
I didn't want to quote the whole thing but I think that's what I was gettin at before I went to bed. I felt the need to sperg about it.
I don't somehow get good because I stagger fuck every enemy with a Zweihander in DS1. I don't magically get good when they hand me a free god unit like Orlandu/Cid in FFT. I didn't get good by spamming jump power stance weapons in Elden Ring or spamming bleed/frost on bosses in Elden Ring.

Every single time Phil "gits gud" it's always in the most coincidental way of discovering things or straight up saying "I've been told...". But I think the tedium or low support will get Phil to quit before he gets to any sort of "getting good". Phil has embraced the searching youtube for "MOST OP BUILD X GAME" and wants us to believe him.

I can't imagine even being a third of his age and caring about what internet users think about my gaming skills. But remember, he's a machooooor adult.
Phil wants to be seen as some Pantheon of gaming and I think being shit at everything he plays shows he really doesn't know much about what he's doing still. Would help him a lot if he wasn't the reactionary sperg he was when any sort of pushback from a game. Broken clock is right twice a day with him for when he complained about a stunned bosses hitbox as an example. But then you get met with so much baseless opinions that comes off as twitter opinions.

I see why people want to dismiss these types of criticism and opinions from a dude like Phil with "git gud".

Just gonna drop this here as well since this is from Steve's DSP stream from yesterday and Steve is a detractor hero, at least in my book. Sorry if already posted.

I've got no issue with cheating or changing difficulty in games, life is too short and the idea of playing games is to have fun. If repeating the same section 20 times isn't your idea of fun, then play the game in the way you like, at least for single player.

That said, if you're an on demand streamer making curated content and asking for a minimum of $150 a time, then it's your job to entertain the people watching you.

Gamepass thing could be a bug. I have gamepass on PC and it can be pretty retarded at times, its not uncommon for me to be unable to boot up a game because a phantom version of a game is still running that I quit over a day ago and I have to end task/reboot game pass before it lets me run a new game. That being said its still clear DSP is using a guide so im not sure what game time really proves here. Does anyone really think hes putting in extra hours off stream doing what, practicing boss fights?

He doesnt really need to practice anyways, chain a retarded monkey to a souls like game and eventually they will DSP their way though it. Look at any other souls like, he just grug tanks everything until the AI randomly does a move set that doesnt punish gruging. THEN he still brags and adds it to his gamer cred resume. Not sure why silksong would be the game he breaks that trend with.

As far as using guides its not funny/wrong in itself that DSP uses guides, or is going bald/grey, or lusts after zesty black boys. Its funny that he does all those things and pretends he doesnt.

In another episode of DSP making his streams increasingly unwatchable: "Kicks". It's the equivalent of bits on Twitch, with 1 "Kick" being 1 cent. This means he's going to pause the gameplay for shout-outs even more than he does already, and of course the dent tourists are falling for it hook, line and sinker, because it's the perfect cheap way to get the attention they so desperately crave.

And of course, DSP has been talking about it constantly since its introduction.
