That would be the correct call if precedent is anything to go by. We are attached to our local brands/the brands that have been in the market for decades. Its very hard to break into this market because whatever you can imagine, we have some strange local version that we prefer. Outside of NYC, Americans haven’t experienced a happening of real tragic scale since Vietnam. No understanding of the idea of all of your best friends coming home in a casket. Once the bullets go out, you can’t put them back in.

Are they just ignoring everything that everyone who ever knew him has said about him? Where are they getting this from? The bullet casings alone are more than enough proof on the contrary. Have these people entered into such mass hysteria that they cannot fathom this?

The interview I saw last night had him looking a bit distraught at the possibility that he could have easily gotten the bullet and died too had it been a fraction of a degree off target. Maybe his reaction was staged and for show, or maybe the shooter was waiting for the topic of transgenderism to come up to take their first shot, who knows? For know, I'm going to give the guy talking to Charlie the benefit of the doubt unless there's definitive evidence to the contrary.
In the grand scheme of things, they probably are an outlier. Localized, they seem to be more prevalent. Still, I've seen average people take notice and wonder if the transgendered shooters are suffering from some sort of health issues - mental or otherwise - that lead to a greater likelihood they will snap and act out violently in the long run. As always, it's the acts of the small minority that grab attention and start to make people think "WTF is going on?"
This has me recalling LFJ's efforts, that were largely successful at the time, to contact hosts about deplatforming the site. This led to Dear Leader announcing it was time to poach LFJ's playbook and initiate TTD by exploiting language from an ISP (Cogent, IIRC) to report other sites that would fall under that particular language. It was absolutely hilarious to see in real time the operators of bathtub gin puberty blocker sites wondering why their sites abruptly stopped working. Both then and now, the fact they hate having those same tactics used against them is incredible to witness.
Agreed on both parts. I remember Otterly using her professional knowledge and experience to make insightful posts about COVID and the vaccines while many of us were shut down and prevented from doing much of anything outside our homes during the extended lockdowns and beyond. I respect her simply because she generally contributes to discussions.
While I'm unsure about "copycat" crimes per se, I might argue others might feel empowered or emboldened to try to do something similar - especially if they feel that can do so and do a better job at covering it up or keeping it under the radar.
From my observations the other side always uses or misuses these terms to deflect and deny any responsibility or culpability.

I think it’s clear that the motive of the killer was having a massive hateboner for Charlie.
If you remember a few weeks ago there was that NFL shooting that happened to share a building with Blackstone, aka one of the financial giants screwing up real estate prices for normal people. When I saw that I thought the official story didn't make sense, why would he decide to shoot up the NFL for alleged football induced brain damage. The fact that he managed to get one of the big whigs of Blackstone too only makes the official motive suspicious. That and how fast NYPD was able to come up with a motive.
But when you stick your hand into a pile of goo that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do.
I feel like these people, and the insane culture that created them may genuinely be too far gone. Last night I had an epiphany about why they act like this. They don't hate the right in the regular way. They hate the right in the same way that someone higher up in the indian cast system hates someone lower. As in, they don't even fundamentally view right wingers as their human equals. Thats why Mr Kirk irked them so much. Imagine the indignity of someone who you think is beneath you, a sample of subhumanity, not only having the gal to debate you but the gal to do it with confidence and to win. They can dehumanize the right like this because their belief stems from the simple fact that their ideology is "compassionate" and on the right side of history and anyone who disagrees with them hates compassion and is on the wrong side. Mass shootings are the domain of the subhumans to them, which is why they cannot fathom one of their own behaving like this. They do not see the contradiction between the fact that countless leftists celebrated Kirk's death and the claim that the shooter is right wing. They don't hate the beliefs of the right. They hate the soul of the right wingers.
