Only so many seats on the judiciary, and the Blue Slip process interferes/slows down the process, especially at the district level. That plus the nomination and confirmation process takes time.
That said, it is strange/dumb Trump hasn’t nominated anyone in the safer states.

Responding to an NBC News report about Utah musicians supporting Shin, the U.S. Homeland Security Department addressed the violinist's detention in a social media post on X that said: "This 'Utah violinist' is Donggin Shin, a CRIMINAL illegal alien from South Korea. His criminal history includes a DUI conviction. Shin entered the U.S. on a tourist visa on September 3, 1998. This visa required him to depart the U.S. by March 3, 1999. To fill in a few more details: Shin, who is originally from South Korea, entered the U.S. with his father at age 10 under a tourist via. His father switched to a student visa, under which Shin was a dependent. He later received status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, until it was revoked due to a 2019 DUI charge, which was later reduced to a lesser charge of driving-while-impaired, according to his lawyer.

As awful as school shootings are the "public" school system is essentially industrialized rape and mental torture of children on a nationwide scale. Why do you think they call it "public" school, instead of "government" school? I've been working some overtime to cover my trip to Belize in December, tl;dr is overtime no longer taxed anymore?

Up to a limited amount (12.5k single 25k joint), only for 1.5x on federally required OT hours, double and triple time only assumed to be 1.5x for example. Can't earn too much either, phase out starts at 150k single 300k joint.
Also this is only calculated on the overtime earnings, so if you have a $10/hr wage and get an hour of overtime, you get $5 in deductions at your elevated $15/hr OT rate, not $15 deductions, so filling that bucket is a lot harder than it looks.

I love how the whole argument made in the article relies on technicalities and the author at the end concludes with saying that we should "instead nourish long-standing law enforcement partnerships" as if we haven't done that with Mexico for over multiple decades now and for some strange reason cartels still exist today.
