I finished bioshock infinite about an hour ago and oh boy, I have never seen a game that was like a 10/10 in the first hour only to become a 4/10 by the end of it all. This games problems come from the story, gameplay wise it’s fine, it’s no doom or even og halo, it’s gunplay is acceptable, but that story it feels like the writers wanted to tell the story about the rise and fall of Colombia, but half way through the story the writers wanted to do multiverse fuckery and as such resulted in the entire story becoming a confused mess. I really think this game cemented my absolute HATE for the multiverse as a concept, like the stuff with the vox populi being this at first noble liberation group that gets internally corrupted through pride and ego is a cool concept, too bad it’s resolved in the same hour it’s introduced. Like they could’ve nay should’ve done that but no we had to focus on the multiverse. I mean they literally did something like this in the first game with atlas but I guess they couldn’t be bothered to do it again I guess. Comstock is a stupid villain, let me ask you a question, why doesnt comstock just tell booker that he is him? Why doesnt booker recognize that comstock his him? It sure is convenient that he never went to a library that showed what comestock looked like when he was younger or else this entire plot would fall apart. The multiverse as a concept is something I hope dies soon, becuase somehow this game ends with Elizabeth killing booker just as he becomes comstock and this somehow kills all comstock across all universes and by extension all Elizabeth’s? How? How does killing this one version of booker simutanusly kill all of them across the multiverse? What you telling me in the infinite universe there isn’t one were as soon as booker gets baptized he trips on a rock and breaks his neck? God this story sucks.
Oh, yay! I get to rant about what a stupid fucking kike Ken Levine is now!
So, Ken Levine, the stupid fucking kike, after making it big with BioShock, decided to fuck off and spend years writing and rewriting Infinite while 2K was given the arduous task of actually making a sequel to the game. They not only succeeded in doing so, but they made a game that built upon the first, had better gameplay, and made it clear that communism is just as bad as objectivism.
Of course, upon release, it got a bunch of hate from commies who were pissed off that anyone other than Dear Leader Levine was involved in making it, even though Levine himself basically ripped off the Father/Daughter plot directly from it when writing Infinite.
Then, after a shit-ton of overpromising and delays as he continued to jerk himself off to his daughterfu, Elizabeth (DON'T YOU DARE MAKE R34 OF HER BTW YOU FUCKING SICK BASTARDS), he finally was told by the execs to shit or get off the pot, and finished writing the damn thing.
Turns out if you shove enough pretty greenery, snarky Brits, and "deep lore" into something, you trick retards into hailing it as a masterpiece.
But to Levine's shock, it turns out a game that makes money is liable to have investors wanting more of it! So what does he do? Does he put his nose to the grindstone, buckle down, and script out a real sequel or even just another game of similar commerciality?
Maybe he steps away and leaves the series in capable hands. After all, 2K proved with BioShock 2 that they're competent enough to manage without his direct involvement.
Or, does he shit out two DLCs, the first one barely an hour long, that kill Elizabeth, torch the franchise, shut down the studio, and fuck off out of spite that anyone dares play with his toys but him before fading into obscurity as he fails to ever work on anything noteworthy since?
Which one do you think he picked?
