He may be referring to 1 Corinthians 7:23 of English Standard Version and English Revised Version:
"You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men."
However, many other translations give the following:
"You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings."
Both seem to refer to that Christians must refuse to accept being slaves and must revolt.
In biblical times, the term "bondmen" refers to individuals who were in a state of servitude or slavery, as per
