Interesting, because the main thing I hear about DM's is that their construction quality is not very good. Didn't think they would last so long. Did you get them resoled? (Not sure if that's even a possibility with DMs. I really like the look of the brown ones. I have never seen them, but I think they look better then the standard black version.

Yeah, I've heard as much too. If I'd known when I bought them I'd probably have chosen a brand with a more sturdy reputation, but with these ones the worst I've had is a bit of peeling on the inner soles (which was easily glued). I've put them through the wringer and they don't seem in danger of falling apart.

I love the colour too. The default black ones make too much of a statement.

As for trench coats I think they can be non cringe to wear. I don't have one, but I think that wearing a nice suit under it could make for a great look, which wouldn't invoke school-shooter vibes.

Trench coats are fine; you just have to make sure you're channeling Sherlock Holmes and not Dylan Klebold.

For myself I generally dress like an extra from Smokey and the Bandit.
Western snap shirts, Wranglers and boots.

For women's clothes I have mentioned this before but Wrangler Barebacks were amazing jeans.
They were tight fighting jeans that had no rear pockets.
They used to advertise that you could stop traffic wearing them and if you are built right I believe that you could.
Proto yoga pants yet the denim being thicker would give you a helping hand if you suffer from hail damage (No shame in this game. That can happen as you age)
This particular model has no ass.
It is much more impressive if you are endowed in the rear end
They didn't all come in bellbottoms so don't freak out if you hate that look.
Sadly these jeans have not been available for years.
Even sadder my dear wife (who is fabulously endowed in the hind quarters) would not wear them if they were available.

I like suits too, but I'd only wear them every day, if I also have enough disposable income where I wouldn't have to clean and iron everything. I wear shirts each day and ironing them is enough for me, for now. Not even sure how to iron suits, never done it before

I recently came across a couple of Hermès silk scarfs and was enamored! They are very pricy, but they apparently hold their value quite well. They are extremely detailed, have incredible print quality and vibrancy of their colors. They are probably overpriced, and I would probably not buy them, but they are just so beautiful.

I took a look at Liberty and they have a lot of nice scarfs too! Thanks! I took a look at the men's section but they are a bit lacking there, sadly. But still nice.

I found this scarf for 10 euros in a second hand shop. It's from Biagiotti, a brand that I know nothing about and that doesn't seem to have that large of a presence? They seem to mainly sell fragrances now.

It's like a sleeve, with silk on one side and I believe linen on the other. Very comfortable!

I’m really into the platform shoe trend that’s popped up in the last few years. Not mega high heel platforms, just the 1.5-2x thick sole versions of regular shoes and boots that have been coming out. It’s a subtle difference but I like it.

I adore this kind of loose fit, linen/cotton, flowy style of clothing. On their own, you’re kind of a bad haircut away from looking like you’re in a sect, so I think accessorizing is very important. I do struggle finding shoes that work well with these outfits, though.

I'm into agejo. The one with the massive hair. Controversial opinion but I think heels are part of a agejo fit. If you don't wear heels you won't get the long legs that is a big part of agejo silhouette since it focuses on your legs and your hair (unless you're a > 5'8 lanklet)

Clothes that make someone look like a JRPG protagonist are cool as fuck to me. It's also all the things I like about punk/goth styles, but without all the tranny politics.

Vkei is a massive face check. If your face card declined your whole fit is ruined and you look like a clown.

Jirai/ryousang you would look like shit only if you're fat. It's more forgiving.

The front one is especially pretty IMO. It has some kind of embossed pattern (is that the right word). Very pretty colors too.

And don't be afraid to wear men's clothing in extra-small, or even boy's clothing in extra-large; I've gotten good deals this way.

MM is so gorgeous, it's such a shame that the brand is dead and constantly snapped up by scalpers who resell ancient garments for $$$. I'd love to own a piece from them someday but I don't want to resort to that to obtain one.

Sometimes I like to read old /cgl/ archives, it's crazy how much more active and on-topic that board used to be.
