Ignoring every piece of info inconvenient to your bias is more hypocrisy.

There are so many air accidents caused by people not speaking up and raising concerns clearly, this is another example, and kinda insane from pilots who clearly did not realise how dangerous the route is. Complacency creep is real.

Complete training failure combined with a dangerous route that is notoriously sketchy amongst other military pilots who have flown there, that will be further addressed because the NTSB is one of the few capable organisations left.

Maybe I'm not knowledgeable enough on that crash, but I feel like the Russian crashes are the ones competing strongest for gold in dumbest crashes. The main ones coming to mind being the one where they crashed an airbus by handing over the controls to the Pilot's kid while it was on autopilot, and one in the 40s where the captain had a passenger (a fighter pilot tbf) take over for him while he went to bang the stewardess in the restroom. Then you get Tenerife for dumbest crash with most fatalities.

Edit: Forgot the one where the Russian pilots made a bet about flying an Instrument only approach with no windows and crashed because they couldn't see anything and ran off the other end of the runway.

- having someone many layers above you as someone you are supposed to be training or certifying seems like a huge flaw. What sort of deference happens there? It’d be like me having to tell my CEO he’s being a retard. There’s hesitation. Thus I should never be put in a life or death situation where I might have to tell my CEO he’s a retard, surely?
- flight CERTIFICATION at night around an active airport? I mean really? Training flights for absolutely top notch crack pilots maybe. Your top gun lads. But not routine ‘get your hours in’ stuff. It’s like having 18year olds take their drivers test on the track at silverstone during a race.
I still think it looks like she drive deliberately into the jet, but I guess your mind just blanks out under enough WTF stress (or it shouldn’t if you’re a really top pilot.)
