Trump's constituents are the workers, not the unions. It'll depend on what workers want, and thus far the best auto workers seem happy with the deals they've been getting in right-to-work states.
I'd watch what happens at Toyota's Missouri plant closely.
It's the same problem but for different reasons. Protecting substandard products never works long term.

I mean its just a simple story of a snake oil salesman on a large scale that was set in motion because some corrupt politician thought it would be a wise idea to ensure his popularity in making him a Pied Piper.
It is honestly really telling that out of all the Democrats who could be blamed for Trump's rise, Hillary Clinton is the main one given she actively promoted him as a pied piper along with being such an already hated politician at the time, in fact this makes her more detestable. At least other shitty presidents weren't brought to power by their hated political opponents wanting to intentionally empower them.
