Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

Trump is delivering exactly the opposite of what he promised, and their response is to endorse eating ze bugs after obsessing over "the great reset" for years. Some of this is undoubtedly astroturf, but not all, and it lends credence to the idea that exposure to covid causes a drop in IQ since these fags were proudly coughing into each other's face to own the libs not so long ago.

I know for a fact that there are plenty of excellent and resourceful Americans, though. I am optimistic that the US can recoup if not all then some of its international credibility, trust, influence, and financial losses over time if we can look a bit past the current administration and into the future. It is disheartening to lose so much of your hard work to someone else's egregious mismanagement, but I hope it is still possible to remain optimistic for the future even if it is bleak right now.
The thing is that a lot of them, or at least a substantial amount with the resources to do so, are doing whatever they can to get out. Two of my friends are planning on moving to Canada, I may study in the UK if I can and others are doing similar things because the situation has become so dire. Though I guess it's not as bad as Reddit might make it seem and less are going to actually move than people who say they are for obvious reasons, me and many others aren't very optimistic about things getting better soon

Deadass, not even North Korea or Afghanistan have such extreme trade policy. Even fucking isolationist Japan still had a small trading settlement for the Dutch, and they had the death penalty for smuggling foreign goods.

Secondly, how are they gonna manufacture resources like sugar, chocolate, coffee, graphite, bananas, rare earth minerals, etc. when these resources are minimal to impossible to extract within the US?

That's one of the most braindead takes I've ever seen in my life.

My most pessimistic side wonders if he will start a war or some shit like that to get votes.
He's been continually escalating conflict with the middle east by sending daddy netanyahu all the money and bombs he wants so israel can take over the world, and he's doing his part by bombing countries israel doesn't like on their behalf

Trump keeps saying that other countries are leeches but he's ok with Israel, the biggest leech of them all.

american cars fucking suck too
American cars aren't even made primarily in the usa. Most of the parts and assembly is over seas in countries south of the border, china or south east asia. Seriously, Toyota and Honda are more American than Ford or Chevy. (The Engines for Toyota come from japan but the car body, parts and final manufacturing is done state side).

Trump constantly said any support to Ukraine will cause WW3, but we all know Israel wants a new world war. Fuckin’ MAGAtards can’t understand that’s

Its easier for him to bomb brown people then it is to give weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

It’s also an issue since you can’t get all the material you need to “buy American”. You need to import things to make shit which means “American” made goods will still be expensive
Not even that. Trump (and his retarded supporters) still think this is the 1950s/60/70s/80s. Sure back then a cotton shirt was made from American grown cotton, spun into American made thread and turned into an American made shirt. Now none of those parts even exist anymore. The cotton mills of the south which made the fabric? They're gone. How about the factories that made the shirts? Those are gone and are now fancy lofts in major cities. If this were 1993 I would support tarrifs, but it's not. Once again the boomers don't know that the world has changed.

Extreme isolationists like that have about as much economic sense as communists.
