deadass, find a duplex or if you live in a shitstate 4plex and then rent it out, dont take my word for it just use those words as a jumping point for research

this is no meme a way for you to be financially indipendant within 10 years, its not a get rich quick scheme, its a dont eveer go broke scheme

all of this is obviously hypothetical and not actual financial advice for any lawyers lurking

Don’t do this unless you’re prepared to deal with tenants (niggers) full time punching holes in the wall and overflowing the upstairs toilet

Dont do this unless you're ready to put serious work into cultivating a renter base that reliably pays on time and doesn't wreck the place

After the Cold War, Vietnam basically said 'fuck you' to Russia and China and are effectively part of the Allies. While they are still a Communist country by law, they are moreso a 'Ho Chi Minh' country which is about maintaining a fiercely independent Vietnam and they have a free market economy. Historians and economists will tell you they have a 'mixed' economy, but this is really just cope. They are a capitalist society with a one-party government.
Vietnam still has a lot of impoverished rural areas, but when I was there I found myself slowly radicalizing under the idea that all these lovely modern cities were largely the result of promised wealth siphoned away from American labor. “We traded this for Dollar Stores and fentanyl and nobody’s been dragged through the streets over it.”

And then I came home and half the Boomercons in my life upbraided me for speaking highly of a gosh darn Communist country that persecutes Christians. I looked into one of those persecution stories and was immediately blinded by how much it glowed. Arms-hoarding ethnic revolutionary cult with its own Joseph Smith getting aid from Western “religious” NGOs who then blasted out fundraising newsletters to American Boomers about how the evil Commies were arresting good Christians just like them for the crime of going to church.

I respect the sentiment but its like saying dont drive your car unless your willing to put serious work into not getting hit or hitting someone else

Its either figure that out or walk

I feel thats a PERFECT metaphor

More like don't live in an expensive fire zone and complain when it burns to me. There has been and needs to be more strategic thinking in investments and economics than has been going on for a long time.

your 100% right but it feels like your coming up to me at the arcade when Im trying to show my buddy how to use the broken Ske ball game to give way more tickets than all the other rigged games and your standing there lecturing me and him about how its

"unstanable for the long term health of the arcade to abuse loopholes in the system"

Mfer if you dont pipe down you KNOW where the next ske ball goes, let us eat.

Before you invest
Make sure you have some savings built up in case of an emergency. 6 months to a year is usually a good amount.
Don't have any outstanding debt.

Other than that, go nuts.

Vanguard is usually really good. Performs well. Low cost. I think the schwab ones perform a bit better. But I would do some back testing before pulling the trigger.
I like ETFs better than Index funds. Index funds you can't sell until EOD. ETFs can be sold any time during trading.

My personal portfolio was 60 SCHG / 40 SCHD. I did my research. I say was because I didn't follow the two rules above. I am an idiot. I'm working towards becoming debt free and having an actual savings account.

If you're gonna be making a large purchase, say a home or car, in the next 5-7 years, I would hold off investing. You won't make that much money just being in an index fund / etf.

If you're willing to gamble, leveraged etfs are where its at. 3 times the reward, 3 times the risk.

Edit: DISCLAIMER: I am a retard on an internet gossip forum. Take my advice with a grain of salt. Do your research before investing. Or talk with a finance expert.

Investments shouldn't be 'gambling' or skee ball. The markets are rigged, especially oil. If I knew how to play the system well like Warren Buffet, well... He's really the one to watch because his fortune is based on playing around with emotional reaction to markets which works better than pure Chicago or Austrian style sometimes.

If you have real estate assets hold. If you have market liquid, I don't know what to say for the next weeks. I sure won't say go into crypto, but that might not be a bad idea either right now. I do think this will settle in a few weeks to months like usual, but Trump since he was shot has been doing what he REALLY said since the 90s, this isn't his first term and he's not screwing around.

When we admit countries into nato one of the requirements is that the civilians have control over their militaries right? And the EU only lets in democracies. But when we let countries into the WTO and other economic multilateral organizations what are the prerequisites?

Why did we treat China like just another country and not the totalitarian, commie one party state that it is when we allowed them to join the WTO? I know a theory was that the freer market would allow them to shift towards democracy and less autocratic leadership, but that seems so naive and couldn’t have been the only case, right?
