Asmongold, because he won't shut the fuck up with the Zelensky V Trump thing, which he posted five fucking days ago. Haven't watched it, but basically, from what I saw of the title of the video in the thumbnail, he hums Trump's balls.

I'm pretty sure that Asmongold is a Mossad asset or something. Think about it, he's one of the most popular YouTubers/Streamers and has been top 10 for like 5 years straight despite the fact that that he's not funny or insightful. When you actually examine his content you notice that he has no actual decipherable talent with games or editing, all he does is sit in a room and give political takes that fall perfectly in line with you-know-who. Also he lives like an actual animal with blood on his walls and bugs crawling all over him but that somehow seems to make him more endearing instead of repulsive to "the masses". I've been on the farms for a while now and that is pretty fucking unheard of.

I heard a theory once that he and MrBeast have the same Disney sponsored talent agency but even MrBeast has reasons people would organically engage with his content. Nothing about Zack's popularity feels natural to me, so I figure he's working for someone.

I know he's hated now but Jim Sterling back in his 'hey day' was just unwatchable.

He was always Irate Gamer to Yahtzee’s Nerd—same points, louder delivery. But where Yahtzee seemed to accept the industry for it was, Sterling never stopped swinging at the AAA punching bag. The format was a mess. One week, he’s dragging some bottom-of-the-barrel Steam trash, the next, he’s taking a blowtorch to Ubisoft, and somehow both wind up in the same Bottom Ten list, as if that means anything. Even the outfit felt wrong—Gene Hunt cosplay in 2014? Bit late for that.

Besides that, the main reason is that I don't like that he seems to have an appeal by people who are like "yeah you need to watch this guy because he's not like those tech shills like Linus Tech Tips. he'll give the real facts". Pretty much just like the /g/ board on 4chan. I've made it a devout principle that I will never consume anything on the most dumb, basic, surface-level reasons like the one I mentioned. This is also the same with GamersNexus.

I like Louis because he's one of the few YouTubers out there who you can tell actually knows what the fuck he's talking about or at least bothered to do the research. My only gripe with him is that he sometimes talks way too fast but you learn to keep up eventually after listening to him for a while. But yeah redditor fans of his are just annoying but I try not to base my appreciation of a media figure on how dumb their fanbase is.

A good rule of thumb is that if a YouTuber exploded virtually overnight from making shitty home videos to suddenly being super popular and having good production values despite not having any obvious source of wealth and this isn't due to some particular massive talent of theirs, they are being sponsored by somebody powerful for a reason.

I like the concept of Vtubers, but once I learned about Vtuber companies and how strict they can be, I started to feel bad about watching a lot of them. It's cool that they can make so much money from it, though.

Even with indies it can largely be the same kind of generic slop. You gotta be picky with who you watch.

Yeah I tried basing a breakfast casserole off a Gordon Ramsey video and then I kinda realized he has no idea what he's talking about. Being a rich chef with top quality ingredients isn't a substitute for simply knowing how to properly make food. His cheeseburger video is a great example: All he does is put salt on everything, flex about how rich and connected he is, and serve up some undercooked sludge.
