That money sitting there is going into all sorts of calculations. It doesn’t materialize into inflation just because a pleb touched it, when it was already figured into bond ratings and interest rates and all the macro shit.

It’s circulation would make inflation more visible on the micro scale, primarily by increasing your willingness to spend it by virtue of having it

It's certainly an interesting idea. It's not abandoning Iran, but it is a short term fucking. Putin's long term plan is total control of Ukraine and a peace deal would help Russia by freezing the line while they reconstitute and reformulate. Would he be willing to put this kind of pressure on BRICS to get to be able to call a timeout in Europe? Maybe.

If the pre-DOGE government would have spent $500 billion in the US domestic economy and instead the post-DOGE government gives that same $ to taxpayers to spend as they see fit (while of course not still spending the original $ anyway) the net effect on inflation should be 0, no?

If every gamer in America suddenly has five grand burning a hole in his pocket, it won't cause manufacturing capacity to increase 100x. The nice $1500 machine you're thinking about will just cost $3000. Same with vacations. Printing money and handing it out won't expand America's beaches or make Disney World bigger. Everywhere will just start charging a lot more as reservations start getting booked up.
