5000$ would clear up a major debt settlement for me, improve my credit score and give me savings and there are plenty of people who probably have that kind of situation. Hell, Shaniqua will probably spend it on a trip to Miami and blow it on fajitas and I don't care because that's money in the economy instead of dick cutting in Africa.
$5000 is a good years worth of groceries for me or could go towards investments. It would be fucking awesome.

Like I’m not a huge fan of gibsmedats typically but it was OUR money being wasted and I also have a job unlike welfare cucks so… (also if income tax is axed I would be saving like 20% of my paycheck, which is insane)

Trump did a special investigatory report in missing and kidnapped and murdered native Americans back in like 2018. Meanwhile the RCMP of Canada would go 15 miles to avoid accountability over that.
Because it's a bit awkward to admit that the church burnings were moot because there are no mass graves at residential schools but hidden in native lands.

The biggest problem Native Americans face is white guilt.

Why? Because the results are that white people unilaterally decided that any sort of image of Native Americans is racist, and it needs to be removed so we don’t have to see it and remember they exist. And if you don’t think that, then you have to prove it by saying Natives suck and they should all die, so we don’t have to remember they exist and feel bad about it

But Natives are just like “um, we think the redskins logo was cool. Not thrilled about the Cleveland Indians Indian, but like, ok. What we’d really like is for everyone to like, stop kidnapping our girls for sex slavery”

We just fucking expect them to hate us so hard, that we don’t even check. We’re like “well I mean, we didn’t mostly kill off black people, and black people hate us pretty bad, so it must be even worse with the natives”

It’s not. They’re cool.

Would also stimulate muh portfolio a bit too and endear him to a lot more democrat normies. He really has a chance to position himself here as fighting for the working class because the democrats sure haven't in the past decade, and if money starts going into the avearge taxpayers' pocket because of this DOGE shit - it's going to immdiately warm way more people up to the idea and hate the democrats that are opposing it. We're legitimately watching the soul of the parties switch in real time and its fascinating.

They have an incredible chance here to lean into the optics of this and fundamentally cripple the democratic party, they've already taken the bait of opposing DOGE and the auditing.

I’m open to being friendlier to Russia idk if they’re open to it because their boomers still hate us with a passion of a 1000 burning suns.
Unfortunately our boomers hate them with the passion of 1000 burning suns too. They can't forget the Cuban Missile Crisis, duck and cover drills, the Red Menace, Berlin Wall, Miracle, Red Dawn, and all that. In their minds, Russia is the enemy and always will be because their childhoods were full of anti-communist programming. It bogles my mind that we are allies with Japan and literally help them build the most advanced American multi-role fighter at the same factory that was building Zeros during World War II when their daddies and granddaddies were fighting these people tooth and nail for an inch of beach or jungle on some gook infested volcanic rock island but mending relations with Russia is an impossible feat that will not ever happen in their life times just because they say so. Don't even get me started on their love for our "Greatest Ally" Israel.

People saying the $5000 for every taxpayer should go to the debt is missing the point, it makes the money real

You can tell people "We saved $5000 worth for every taxpayer" but if the money doesn't hit your account, do you give a shit? Especially if it gets reinvested in the debt, so for the individual, everything goes on the same as if $0 were saved?

People have said before that if employers didn't withhold tax, but you got the full amount and then had to save it and write a huge check every year, that would make it real and the average person would demand to know how every cent of their tax dollars are being spent and be more outraged at waste, vs "I dunno, I got the same amount in the bank I always do and I hear on the news some money I never get did something or other that didn't hurt me either way, so whatever."

$5000 DOGE savings returned to every taxpayer would be the same in reverse. Everyone who gets the $5000 and spends it on something they always wanted or needed but couldn't get will think "THIS is how much of my money the government was wasting? What the fuck were they wasting it on? I'll NEVER vote again for any politician that wants to go back to wasting MY $5000 every year!"

Then when they hear on the news some government program wasted a trillion dollars, they'll think "How much of MY money did that just waste? How many new computers/car payments/apartment deposits of MINE was that worth?"

Might be late, but a previous poster, hundreds of pages ago, said something about some states are already instituting this exact thing for EBT where buying certain fresh groceries only costs you half as much on your food stamps. It is a common sense idea and I think would improve EBT nutrition if adopted nationwide.
Sure would be nice if those of us not leaning on public assistance could enjoy that hefty discount too. Then again not being lazy has never paid very well in this country (in my lifetime anyway).

I agree, but how exactly would you allow for normal people to pay half price for fresh ingredients without fraud, or without the food companies raising prices, over time, so that we are essentially paying the same as before?

Imagine a resturaunt sends the bus boy to buy expensive ingredients at the grocery store, at half price, rather than through a wholesale company. They save a few dollars and defraud the government thousands.

I think we can all reach a consensus that subsidizing fresh produce is far preferable to subsidizing corn syrup and feeding the Chinese soy beans.

Former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe was arrested at a City Council Meeting in Huntington Beach, CA. He came to protest against a MAGA sign and called MAGA a “Nazi movement.“ He then called for “civil disobedience” before walking up to the council members where he was arrested.

Those pictures aren't worth jack shit though. Likes on Instagram and Tumblr doesn't help anyone and the ant's pace to progress is a net negative overall. It's the definition of stagnation. You talk about how NASA has proven that we can redirect an asteroid "with minimal effort" (you can't be serious right?) but you're not considering how inefficient this process truly was. It took them 6 years to even plan the shit out and then it took a whole year to even get the spacecraft to the asteroid after it launched. NASA saying "We redirected an asteroid!" is also very sensationalized compared to how little impact the spacecraft actually made on the asteroid. It barely even moved after the collision, the little gay graph on the Wikipedo article you linked even showed that (by the way, never link Wikipedo as "proof" of anything, never unironically share any source to back your claims that you know for a fact lies to fit their own political narrative unless you're making fun of how retarded the link you're posting is) and even stated in the article that the difference is only a slight change in trajectory and that they aren't even 100% sure how much it really worked. Better hope there is ZERO error on those data calculations if we actually needed to rely on this shit, the smallest error could fuck us and NASA has a reputation for not dotting their Is and crossing their Ts. I haven't even mentioned how sloppy and wasteful this was in the first place, the 30 million dollar spacecraft is destroyed never to be recovered. gone forever. This is one of SpaceX's biggest criticisms of NASA, the fact that they are so wasteful on purpose and never even attempt to salvage anything or plan ahead enough to integrate some way to get some of your money and hardware back. NASA has even lost most of their designs and blueprints anyway, another thing that astounds SpaceX, they have no clue how they lost so much knowlege that they previously had decades before. They had plenty of time with this shit, six years they prepped this project, probably over 6 years of designing. So I don't buy your theory that NASA is lazy because they are actually really frugal. They are the opposite of frugal, they flat out don't give a fuck.

Sending manned teams to the moon or to Mars is hands on human experience which is priceless and extremely important to the future. That can't be replicated by looking at fucking pictures on Facebook and Tumblr and the fact that you would even suggest such a thing is astounding to me. We might learn a new little thing or two every hundred years by sending retarded NASA bots to planets but that's just play pin goofing off in the grand scheme of what the end goals of space exploration is. We've been sitting on our asses for so long putting off thinking about space that by the time it's gonna be crunch time and we NEED to get into space, it's gonna be way too late because we've only ever sent bots to space and the last time a human went to the moon Stanley Kubrick was still alive. Yeah, sending people to the space is risky, no shit. That's why it's worth doing. I could list hundreds of human achievements of progress that were only accomplished through people risking their lives. That's just how it is.
Found the ESA shill. You'll lose your paycheck soon enough, you commie bastard!

Hi, yes, hello. American tax payer here. That $5000 belongs to me and was taken by the gov't. It belongs to me, not people in foreign countries.

Hope this clears things up.
What would you use your $5000 on, hypothetically? Anybody could answer this.
