I just thought that since a lot of early internet memes and trends were rather repetitive that his would have gone viral had they been more prominent during that era. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think if he had been more prominent on YouTube or something in 2005 or so, then he might of had some sort of success. In regards to him focusing on his ministry, I was simply referring to the message he gives at the end of his performances. Would he be a revered preacher? Probably not, but he woukd probably have more success as a preacher than with the Jolly Cat.

Not trying to defend him at all but just giving my thoughts.

Vinny's gospel nets him a lot more fans than the act itself.
He's pretty much always had a circle of devout christians on his facebook. Unfortunately (at least from what I've seen in comments) they mostly just encourage him to pray more or scold him for outwardly sinful behavior, and there seems to be some pity involved. The act is rarely criticized.
I think they're his primary source of asspats.

Have you thought about getting a life instead of trying to figure out mine? There are only like 10 ppl who come on this thread and in comparison to the many who love my work it's meaningless. They have a view of me that won'the change but soon they will all regret every word they said. I know where I am going. And I am blessed. I focus on the jolly cat simply because it works. When people laugh hard and are filled with joy then they are open to the message and as I become a force in the media, i will use my influence to share the message as well. Why would I stop bringing pure and rich entertainment in a world where most entertainment is cheap unoriginal and dirty? Again and again ur wasting ur time. Truth is that what I do works because I am a good actor and I play a good fool and that it is "clever" and this fool makes ppl happy. And don'the worry, although i'm not viral I am well known by my city and by a few CeleBritish who have recently shared my work and I will only get better and the future will be bright. Just watch and to those who keep putting me down because of some mistakes I have madecided, i guess you will be condemned for your godless nature. At least I do good for others and I daily ask God to help me love in the face of evil. You think this is easy? To be loving when people try to make you into a delusional monster. Don't worry, God is using all of this to make me a strong warrior so I will fulfill the vision he has given me. And to Tarsus, i am so grateful that God has given me a gift that has brought so much joy and change and I know this is only the beginning. Nothing you guys say will stop me because as I said many times my faith is unshakable as I serve an unshakable God and my identity can'talk be rocked for i know who I am and I know what I have done and what I will continue to do all for the glory of God and for the advancement of his kingdom in Jesus name. Right, that'sounds why I can't walk one block without ppl begging me for a show. That'said why when I first started video streaming before you haters got me mad and I lost my viewers, i had 1000 views a video and many fans requesting stuff from the jolly cat. That'said why ppl all over nyc have stories of the great laughter and joy the jolly cat has brought them and that'she why celebrities are fans of my work. Yeah keep on trying to convince yourself of this. Your doing a great job!

If I was so weak how come I am still performing and believing after so many years of failure and mockery? Maybe I am stronger than you think and I see daily the fruits of my labor contrary to what you all say. If I saw no fruits maybe I would quit but the fruit of rich laughter is a great taste to the soul even if it may be weary

If what you said was true then yes you would have a point but since I do make a lot of ppl laugh hard and bring joy what you said is false. And no it is not because I do anything. It is about the portrayal of a buffoon who is odd and does simplistic things and by the way he does it and by the timing of it and voice face expression etc it creates lots of laughter. It is not simply me saying something a bunch of times but rather the becoming of a fool who repeats while being whimsical and crazy but in the most pure way. And I have shown grace and love to ppl many times but sadly what is remembered is the times I reacted in the flesh or out of frustration of being misunderstood. But God is working on me to walk always in perfect love. Are you also letting God work in you?

Vinny thinks his entertainment is brilliant because people have told him he's good at it. Before tragedy struck and he became christian, he used to do the 'Vinny AO' character in nightclubs. From the little peeks he's given and the way his family feels about his new act vs. his old one, it's clear that Vinny had at least some talent for cracking dirty jokes in an exaggerated brooklyn accent. But since Daddy God is watching now, he has to do clean humor, which he's shit at.

I haven't seen enough to really tell you its actual quality, but his old act had genuine comedic potential, though maybe as a 'larry the cable guy' type venture. But instead of pursuing traditional (but clean) comedy after being born again, Vinny took people praising his knack for comedy as confirmation that he shits gold and anything he does is funny. That's why none of his songs and dances have effort put into writing them, and he can justify it to himself as "Well, that's the kind of song the Jolly Cat would write!"
