Even if they are, I suspect Toren tricked Phil into letting them leech off living there in an ironic twist to Phil who did it so many times in the past. Toren is the smarter of the two morons as it stands.

Junk food isn't all that expensive. Phil has no self-control, so he probably lives exclusively on high-fat, high sugar crap. And judging by how quickly he gets out of breath, he probably gets no exercise.

Phil spend five years homeless. Then he got given a home, and that somehow made his life worse. Phil can fuck anything up. Anything.

Phil doesn't look like a trans woman. It's not even that he doesn't pass as a woman, he doesn't even look like he's trying to pass. And that's before we've got on to the fact that he can't be the victim of racial profiling when he is very obviously white.

He's more likely to be stopped for looking like a mentally ill hobo who's escaped from somewhere.
