It will be interesting (and horrifying for the Syrian people) to see this shit show further develop. A former Al Queda dude who is leading a diverse coalition of armed groups with very different ideas about what should come next, with opposing international backers are surely going to form a stable rule.
The fighting isn’t going to stop. Syria will likely continue to be a bloody proxy battlefield for at least the next decade. Assad fucked off on a jet, and I get why some are glad that he’s out of the picture for now, but any notion of lasting stability and peace in Syria in wake of this is completely delusional.
