WickedWiz has some interesting breakdowns of video games that went wrong and why

i like NicoB for the commentary and voices he does, but his videos are best in small doses both because of his constant ADD outbursts and the kind of games he plays

Glock9 is fun if you want to see someone play 7 Days To Die over and over and over again (it's me, i want that)

Sacko makes some interesting videos on overlooked episodes in the history of gaming, like one on FPS Maker I remember liking.

Civvie 11 makes old-style long form reviews of retro games, mainly shooters, editing a playthrough down to 40 minutes and doing post commentary. I can't watch more than one video at a time because his presenting style can grate on me, but that's just my own taste.

Xygor Gaming makes retrospectives on older games, but he's been gone a few months.

I like Big Ole Words. He’s a NES guy and always shows off more obscure games which are always very interesting to learn about.

Sega Lord X is another good one, both of the guys I mentioned speak with a passion for the games that feels like a throwback to old game centric shows on TV.

He made Let's Play videos comprehensively covering the games and lore of Silent Hill 1-4. He disappeared like 6 years ago unfortunately but he made the best Let's Plays I've ever watched. Extremely detailed, edited well, and very relaxing to watch. He has a /v/ sense of humor but he's not a meme spamming faggot. Funny dude and very knowledgeable and passionate. I hope one day he comes back but I doubt it.

Inside Gaming and Funhaus were lighting in a bottle. Probably the best gaming content ever recorded.
LaFave Bros Oblivion series is nice.
Older Yogscast stuff, especially 2012-2017, Minecraft, TTT, CIV 5, GTA 5. Good stuff.
Game Society Pimps, the Fallout 3 Series is nice.
Killian Experience has a shit upload schedule, but is a funny guy.
Let's Game It Out varies in quality, but I still like it.
Mr Sark is a classic.
Nerrel is good, can be a fag sometimes, but he puts effort in his stuff and I get the impression that he is trying to make an argument.
Settled, I never played Runescape, but I enjoy watching his challenge runs.
T90 has a burning passion for Age of Empire 2, cant go wrong with him.

I feel like you're looking for a unicorn. Between looking through this thread and trying to remember if I had any game-related YouTubers I actually enjoyed, all I could think of Zero Punctuation, which although hitting the sweet spot in YouTube length (5-7 minutes, as God intended) has steadily declined over the last ten years and the format switch to Fully Ramblomatic really drives home the fact that it was probably nostalgia and familiarity that made the last days of ZP barely tolerable.

I've always preferred actual video game websites anyway (I think I made a thread on that) and those are a dying brand. Around 11-15 years ago I really liked HG101 (and I did purchase one of the books) but between atrocious taste and the main guy being a massive faggot I don't even bother with it. (The website redesign, once a functional white-on-black HTML design, didn't help—there is no way to see all the games on the site). Paging through there's nothing of interest for the last six months, and like any subhuman he's fled Twitter for BlueSky.

Ircha Gaming definitely. She primarily does cozy games but always has a completely different genre in there you don't expect.

Majuular has film length game essays. His Symphonia video is fantastic.

The Cyan Man is good. I like his LOTR stuff.
