As much people throw a fit about it most prisons have fewer jobs than prisoners, and most prisoners consider themselves lucky to have a job in prison because it beats being in lockdown and having money for the commissary makes life much more bearable.
yep, people don't realize it but despite how evil it seems to people on the outside those firefighting prisoners are like the special ops of prisoners and take their job absurdly seriously, like if they're truely the types that got fucked by a bad judge, they're the ones that usually end up with the primo jobs because everyone else in prison is an evil retard.
They're going to steal the house. Barely anyone seems to be talking about it for some reason. Trump team needs to get on it immediately or it's gone.
we don't care, just make sure to bookmark your posts and complain about it in the politics thread when we can't do fucking anything because we only have a 4 seat majority.
but having a House with the population of a medium sized town would just be more of a hassle.
its gotten a lot easier, in general the house is almost never in its chambers, most everything is done outside of the capital, they usually just send an intern to vote on all the bills, at this point we'd probably be better off with more house members and making DC entirely house reps+employees.
(I told y'all I'm from a hella blue state with legitimately the dumbest voters ever.)
Maryland was fucked from the start, its so small it resembles a NE state more than a mid-atlantic or southern state. between baltimore and dc a majority of the state is located in a metropolitan area, beyond that virginia being so harsh on crime (especially driving, booze, drugs, and strip clubs) means only the biggest criminals or people afraid of police would chose to live in maryland over VA. in the winter you can feel the differences in the roads between the two states, way more potholes and shitty drivers in maryland whereas they charge people with reckless driving for going 80 mph inside the beltway in VA. Like the cost difference between MoCo and Fairfax is negligible, but an ethan ralph type isn't as likely to spend time in prison in MoCo.
there also wasn't any procedures at that point, it was 26 dudes that didn't know what the fuck to do, technically there wasn't even any political parties officially to be majority or minority leader of.
or how the rituals Christians do today are the same as followers in 1024 AD.
they spoke latin and the women had to wear veils and a bunch of other shit buddy.
