I have to disagree there, Clarice saying that transexuals are typically non-violent and passive is in the context that they are very little of them and that there is significant gatekeeping, this is blatantly made clear when Lecter who is established as the ultimate authority when it comes to perversions just flat out denies Bill being trans even though Bill himself believes it.

My understanding too is that Demme took enough flak from LGTBBQ groups over all this that it took him doing Philadelphia to get them off his backs and to this day people are still trying to cancel the movie for being mean to troons rather that praising it for one of the most accurate portrayals in cinema history. Somehow Charles looks scarier than Buffalo Bill. Closer to Longlegs to be honest.

This seems to be on the same level of interference. It took 7 years for a conviction in this case, so we'll have to wait to see if the system will be as harsh with Clymer... That is if he is investigated and prosecuted in the first place.

This is way worse than posting a "meme" telling Hillary voters to show their support by voting by text. Also each of those messages can be a separate count in the indictment.

The Mackey case was a stretch, even with him being a huge pro-Trump meme account and the feds dragging him to the EDNY (only DC would be a worse jurisdiction). Where they really got Mackey is they had a fed informant named "Microchip" in one of his Discord groups fedposting. They used that fedposting by the informant to claim it wasn't just an "innocent meme" but an actual criminal conspiracy against rights.

I highly doubt they have something similar on the ogre, or that they will even try and flip one of his coconspirators to get that effect. Combined with the stupid IdPol of the situation, I doubt he even gets indicted.
